Ernest Belfort Bax (1854-1926) was an English barrister, journalist, philosopher, rights advocate, and historian. The original text is the classic that steered many hundreds of millions into Communist revolutions around the world. They have all failed or are in the process of failing. The ones which have not failed are slowly yielding to the reality that capitalism is the driver of innovation and prosperity.

It is impossible to quantify the total number of deaths attributable to the policies of Stalin, but the ‘Excess Mortality’ (i.e., deaths over and above what would normally have been expected during the period in question) gives an approximate figure in excess of 40 million.
