• FathBuilder - Faith Over Fear: Part 2
    Nov 21 2024

In part 2 of ‘Faith Over Fear’ Michelle discusses confronting and overcoming fear through faith in Christ. She looks at not giving in to fear, not fuelling fear but facing it, and using our authority in Christ to deal with a spirit of fear.

She emphasizes the power believers have through Jesus to combat fearful thoughts and resist fear and anxiety, likening fear to a powerless enemy that can be defeated by standing firm in God's Word. Biblical scriptures such as Philippians 4:6-7, Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 91 and 1 Peter 5:7 are highlighted to emphasize the importance of going to God’s Word for strength, peace and power, and show how much God cares for our wellbeing.

Practical methods are suggested to guard the heart and mind and cleanse the mind of unwanted images, including visualizing the cleansing blood of Jesus and speaking affirmations. The episode concludes with a powerful prayer and confession to repel fear and embrace God's protective and empowering presence.

  • The Authority of the Believer
    Oct 16 2024

In this episode of The Christian Wellbeing Show, host Michelle and co-host Stuart take an exciting look at the 'authority of the believer'.

They explore the stumbling blocks in people’s thinking about the authority of the believer that undermine the effectiveness of their faith. Stuart and Michelle discuss from the Bible the transformative power of understanding one's spiritual authority in Christ, and how this delegated authority is akin to a 'power of attorney,' enabling believers to bring healing and deliverance, and change and transform situations.

They emphasize the importance of aligning prayers with God's will, but not focussing on questions that undermine authority. Through biblical examples, including the centurion and Jesus' disciples, they highlight the importance of having a revelation of our God-given authority in the name of Jesus, how that can empower individuals in their spiritual and everyday lives, and how important it is for bringing positive and godly change into our world today.
