Have you ever read a book by a comedian so amazing that you wanted to buy it for all your friends? I have.

This book is a well needed breath of fresh air. Your self help books and novels can wait.

GET IT. And let Tom read it to you.

Could you buy a print version and read it yourself? I suppose, if you're a freak with so much spare time you have to waste it by physically reading books with your eyes. But why? Poor Tom spent all that time and energy getting it exactly right just for you!

And you know his producer made him do certain parts over. No way he nailed every word, every time. Whole sentences, maybe whole chapters had to be repeated.

I decided to let Tom read this to me at his normal speaking pace, vs my normal 1.5x speed, and I'm so glad I did. I got the full effect of all his giggles and tonal jokes that way.

Everyone north of 35yo should have to read this book. Or better yet, have it read to them.

You deserve it. You'll certainly laugh, you'll agree with 95% of what he says (unless you're "shit people" who cut in line at airports), and you might even tear up when you get to the chapter called "Let's Go Back".

GET THIS BOOK. You will not regret it.

Tom Papa is a gifted storyteller with the advantage of his NY perspective as a working class Italiano. Bellisimo!

Whether it's a crow of death, fear of homeownership or what it means to eat dinner with your family seated around the table, Tom takes you with him ...laughing and crying all the way.

It's hard not to love him. unless you were a member of the View audience in his early days of over imbibing and late arrivals.

Thanks Tom for affirming how hard Americans work. I have been waiting for that nugget of truth to surface internationally!

just the laughs I needed

the last month has been rough and this book provided much needed laughter on a long driving trip.

He's always great.

Made me feel good, a relaxing, casual listen, just a fun time. What a great guy.

This book is so lighthearted and fun. Tom Papa is one of our all time favorite comedians so we had to check out his book. We enjoyed it so much we bought all the others!

Hilariously nostalgic...

Another Papa hit. A nostalgic stroll down funny memory lane. Tom could read you the phone book and make you love it. A good listen in these trying times to help get you re-centered and thinking about things from a funny point of view, again. Just lovely. So many of these stories hit home and made me chuckle thinking of my own instances of similar experiences growing up. Read or listen as I did, you won't regret it. BTW, we were fan people too.

I love Tom Papa and this book was great. He’s a clean comedian so I would recommend this book to anyone who likes stories with a light hearted giggle.

A lovely and light distraction from our daily and tragic reality. This audiobook allowed me to consider the bright spots in everyday life. It was a welcome relief!

I loved this. The descriptions of childhood events were great! I had seen the standup special. This book was more goodness. The additional bits on 7 eleven and travel were hilarious!
