A great new series in the Litrpg style.

The narrator is very good, has a patient-wry tone, does young and seasoned voice is great range. The story is half slice of life, half-young hero journey. I really like that the main character is disciplined and not all-powerful. Other characters have clear motives that defer often enough to make the story more than just the standard faire. I will say I got the audiobook for free from the author’s Patreon, but never read this series. He is very active and steady on delivering great material. Now I have to read this too! Ending really sells the need for the story to continue.

World Sphere – A Worthy Successor to A Soldier’s Life

World Sphere is an outstanding second series from Always RollsAOne. While it shares some similarities with A Soldier’s Life—both featuring protagonists with prior knowledge arriving in a magical world—the universe in World Sphere is entirely distinct.

One of the standout aspects of this book is its well-executed training arc. The progression, much like in A Soldier’s Life, is nearly perfect, making every step of growth feel natural and rewarding. The new magic system is fascinating, introducing fresh mechanics that feel both unique and well thought out. While the main character has some overpowered abilities, they are balanced in a way that keeps things engaging rather than breaking the story.

The supporting cast is just as enjoyable, bringing depth and personality to the world. On top of that, the narrator does a fantastic job bringing the story to life. Overall, World Sphere is a 5/5 read for me—I might even prefer it over A Soldier’s Life, which I didn’t think would be possible.
