Publisher's summary

Zara Riddle moved to a small town so her life could be quiet and safe. But now that her witch powers have kicked in, life is anything but. Long-lost relatives are coming out of the woodwork, and it turns out the family tree is riddled with magic.

When a ghost shows up, Zara finds out her Spirit Charmed powers come with a cost. She must solve the woman's murder. Zara teams up with her handsome neighbor, a wolf shifter who's both mysterious and perfect. Maybe too perfect? He did save her life during a vicious attack, but some strange coincidences have Zara second-guessing her alliances.

The town of Wisteria may be quaint on the surface, but danger lurks around every corner. To protect her family, Zara must risk her heart and her life. Forces of good and evil will face off in a battle where one side has a secret advantage.

One thing's for sure. Zara Riddle is keeping these new powers, blue lightning balls and all.

Once you go witch, you never switch.

Critic reviews

"It's thrilling! It's funny! And it won't leave you in agonizing pain (except, possibly, from laughter)." (Robert J. Crane, author of the best-selling Girl in the Box series)

I want to move to Wisteria

This audio is filled with cutesy characters, fun filled scenes, and will make you want to move to Wisteria. Love the fruit centerpiece.
Narrator was clear and characters easily distinguished. My only complaint was that she was a little to fast.

Such a fun book!

This was such a fun book! My favorite character was Zara. She was so bubbly and funny. I also loved the next door neighbor, Chet. I’ve often wanted to move somewhere where nobody knows me like Zara did. She moved to Wisteria to take a job as a librarian. The house she bought has some secrets. So do the neighbors and other residents of the town. There were so many elements to this story. Mystery, cozy, suspense and even some spooky happenings outdoors. I laughed through a lot of it. The author knows how to add in some humor at the right places. What makes it even better is that it is clean and the younger generation would enjoy it also.

If you prefer audiobooks, the narrator is WONDERFUL! She does the perfect voice for the different characters. I liked aunt Zinnia and look forward to learning more about her. The narrator really brought the characters to life, especially Grandpa Don. All through the book I was rooting for Zara and Chet to get close but by the end, there were some more possibilities.

Wonderful Story!

I loved this book! Witches and Ghosts made it so much fun. Angela Pepper wrote a book that pulled me in from the very beginning. I love the imagery in the story and the humor is a huge plus. Tiffany Williams did an awesome performance with the various characters. I loved how the author wrote the characters with depth, and things were not predictable. This book is a standalone listen and beginning of a series. I will definitely listen to more by this author and narrator.

Supermarket Book

Think Janet Evanovich, it's the style of book I call hallmark movie books, they are fun and light, slightly predictable feel good books. The perfect doing housework book. I enjoyed it and am about to start the next one!

Awesome Witchy Cozy Mystery!

GREAT book! What fun to listen to. So cleverly written and I loved the funny/sarcastic elements, that's something I can definitely relate to :)

Zara and her daughter arrive in a new town (Wisteria, of course!), and their zany adventure begins. It's fun, light, entertaining, clever, and funny! Love all the magic & mystery, it was a delight to listen to. I'm on to the second one now!
Great story, great narration - really brought the story to life!

Fun, lighthearted listen

This is a fun book, with interesting, relatable characters. The overall tone is lighthearted, and I found it refreshing. I enjoyed the mother-daughter dynamic, and the unusual developments in their lives. The sexy neighbor has my attention too! The setting is just as intriguing as the characters, and that is a real bonus for me personally. Also, I already look forward to learning more about the intriguing secondary characters in future books. Overall, it was a fairly complex world, friendly, relatable characters, with an endearing plot.
