I like the story but, goodness I'm bored.

I truly like the story, as paranormal is a great genre that I do love to consume. I do like the narrator as she gives all the characters their own voice and attitude.

Unfortunately this is a very slow moving series. I was actually surprised when the first book ended, not because of length but because not a lot happened, and it ended with "this will happen in the future but I don't know about it". Which is such a strange way to end a book.

There is far too much dialogue both internally and externally from our heroine Zara, which is probably the biggest reason the story line runs at a snails pace. I feel like the writer got too caught up in making her a funny, likeable, quick-witted character, which is fine, but she doesn't have any other emotion but bubbly and quirky. this makes it a bit tedious because we should be going on a range of emotions, but Zara just accepts everything as normal no matter if it's supposed to be terrifying, or if she should feel sad or mad, or attracted. it's like she's a 22 year old county bumpkin that finds all the new situations cool. And not like she's an older women with a teenage daughter and some sort of self preservation. Also no one aside from her coworker seems to even like her. this includes the next door neighbor that I'm guessing is supposed to be her love interest.

I'm 11 hours in and I'm sure this is the tone for the entire book series so I'm pretty confident in my review. I will listen to the rest of the series but I'm sure it will be a very slow process as I do like the story but can only handle an hour at a time, but I committed so I will see this through.

I liked the characters and the humor. I loved the relationship between Zara and her daughter.

Liked that the two Zinnia books complimented and filled in Zara’s and Zoe’s story. Good job!

It’s annoying having to constantly download the book.

I’m having a hard time with this story, everyday I have to re download the book as it won’t even lay otherwise. I’m already having a hard time as is I find the main character pretty annoying and inmature.

So entertaining!

I have to honestly say I actually truly enjoyed these books. I didn’t know what to expect it first, but the wittiness and the sarcasm and overall storytelling and plots were truly told well and hilarious. At the same time I would catch myself laughing my husband just kinda looked at me like I was crazy, but I loved every minute of these books!

I enjoyed the character development. a little disjointed at times but always worth the listen stories just get more interesting

Please get to the point

These stories had me yelling get to the point, it's as if the arthor came up with an idea at the grocery store raced home and added the item without actually reading what they had already written. I made myself listen until the fourth book, then just delete from my library. I usually have good luck with the cozy style books in sets but this time wasn't good for me.
