Hilarious 😂😂😭😩😂❤️

I love the banter between the main characters! Her snarky sense of humor and his naivety makes this book!

So much fun

I was not expecting this book to be as good as the first and it absolutely is, if not better. I laughed out loud many times and actually enjoyed how over the top it was at times. The ending pushed the world building forward a respectable amount and sets up the third book nicely, but I figure I'll read it on Kindle instead of waiting for Audible to get it (the delay in audiobook releases has been just unacceptable in my opinion)

My only nitpicking is with narration. I like Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd, but I don't think I like them together in this series. I really wish they had done a duet narration instead of dual. I think having Mason do all the male narration and Hollie the female narration would have kept the immersion going better. Especially since I think Mason's female voices aren't as good anymore but I do love his accents for the male characters.

Comedy

This book should be classified as a romantic comedy; there was humor scattered throughout the book. Narrators did a great job with characters. Will continue the series if/when another book is released.

Hilarious and sexy

Hilarious with translator issues, adventurous with solving puzzles in the jungle and sexy story of two people coming together.

WOW...

This story was better than the first, much better IMO, and so funny esp. towards the middle and beyond that I was crying probably waking the dead. I just never anticipated some of what the characters would say, saying and terms barriers(species), and then I couldn't stop laughing 🤣. Thank you so much. To hot to do anything except listen to a fantastic book. Next!!!

Fun with idioms and other translation fails

“Alien Indiana Boner and the Temple of Gloom”
Keep your pantyhose on listeners, because this series has the potential to top my favorites list for campy alien romance. I started at this book 2 and was slightly thrown off by the primitive alien cover art and the beginning of this book deep within a Lost World kind of jungle. Did I misread the summary? Was this an Ice Planet Barbarian thing, with loincloths and fated mates? Nope, just a campy, punny, fish out of water alien romance where a bunch of human gals get sent up the river without a paddle, or a working translator.

Kanuz: “Are you alright, my flower?”
Gen: “My dude!”
This second installment finds Gen (short for Genevieve) plunked down in the jungle on a sort of quest for a unifying relic with Prince Kanuz. Only, with the translator on the fritz, Gen has no idea what to make of warnings about monster chickens (I.e. Tyrannosaurs) or this big alien beefcake taking her Earth idioms, cussing and euphemisms literally.

“OMG, Gen is alive! And she’s radioactive!”
I laughed all the way through, even when the more serious series arc about the war with the Roth comes into play. The first half is just the two of them finding jungle love amid death traps and beasties. The second half has them rejoining the other gals in civilization. What I liked best about it all was that the gals are forces to be reckoned with; I like my leading ladies to be both flirty and fierce!

I found the occasional F bombs hilarious and fitting. There are three naughty get-togethers and a lot of translator-glitch-assisted dirty talk, giving great sizzle value for the shorter book length. The aliens are manly, but always honorable, so no unfortunate dubious consent bullying here, despite the whole tricked into marriage plot, And, this is alien romance, so yes, they come with some extras for her pleasure.
This book hit my Goldilocks zone for the trifecta of sexy, funny and action packed.

loved it!

loved both narrators, multitalented as always. I got Ruby Dixon vibes from the writing, but pleasantly surprised with the story line and the character development. I will continue to invest and cookie this author.

Chefs Kiss

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book of this series and hoped the second would be just as good. Only a chapter or two in, I was cackling out loud. The humor was great and the storyline is the perfect mix of lighthearted but intriguing. Looking forward to starting the next book.

F bombs and a snarky mfc

Best read after the first one so that you have the backstory. I like that the two main characters were not angsty and had places to improve. Love finds a way just like Mother Nature does ;) Pop culture references were cheesy and much appreciated. Light reading and just the HEA I was looking for.

Good series

I definitely recommend this series. just wait for the whole series to come out because you want to know more about everyone's journey/ story
