Solid 4 stars

If you are a fan of alien romance, you will enjoy this story and likely the series. There is some overlap with other aliens from other authors (the Drixonian Warriors comes to mind first), but that's about it. This is a future where humanity is already spacefaring, but not as advanced as they need to be so enter Aliens who want to trade tech for wives.

Love that the women are all competent and seem to have been developed characters so that's bodes well for the series. I'm really looking forward to Becs story since she is all about xeno/human relations - hope she stays as high libido as she is portrayed in this story.

My only real complaints are that Holli Jackson didn't do a similar accent for the male and I'm not sure this story even needed dual narration since his chapters were very short. Might have been better as single or duet narration. Also, the ending was rushed and it seemed like there were a lot more human women in the crew than were introduced at the start. I think 10 in total but Nikki acted like she didn't know some of her own crew at the end.

I loved alien romance books like this. I always look forward to reading anything with g HEA at the end because sometimes we just need a break from all the drama. This was a first book of January Bell’s I’ve read, looking forward to more!

Great story, great narration, typical alien story. I was not disappointed in the story at all, but I also wasn't blown away either.

Great read!

This quirky romance is engaging and fun. Although the themes may not be unique, the presentation and character dialogue is highly entertaining. I have read enough romances to know this is not one to pass up. The intimate scenes pretty steamy, and not over done. I read this in a day! Can’t wait to hear about the other characters POV.

Great series starter

I love this narrator pair. I really liked this book and I think it smart up the series really well.

Nikki and her team were sold by their Earth government to the Aliens as brides without being notified or given a choice.
Seems to me the aliens did a poor job planning their ceremony with almost no security, but with native resident couples as guests?!
Seems to me there was an unnecessary trek through the jungle but humorous situations. That poor planning again.
Seems to me that the aliens wouldn’t just place the Earth women in a group home. Where’s the assigned interpreter? Where’s the Linguist to teach the local dialect? And it just ends after Nikki and Draz reach the city with nothing resolved. Italian would be great if Bell could be edited for a more complete individualized story and less like a chopped off section of a serial.
Lloyd & Jackson do a decent job of narrating. Just wish they could read together instead of alternating chapters.

The MOST fun

This is one of the most fun audio books I’ve ever listened to. The story line is amazing, the writing is phenomenal and downright hilarious. I read this book previously but the audiobook definitely had me laughing out loud, and new scenes caught my attention that I had missed before.
The dual narration and voice actors are absolute perfection. I couldn’t ask for more, and I can’t wait for the next one!

Great Beginning

This audio book is a great beginning to a new series. A group of experienced women troops are sent to a planet supposedly to get tech needed by earth. They were unaware that they were sent there to mate with the alien men on the planet. The narration is excellent. Mason Lloyd does a fantastic job portraying the alien warlord with a hart of gold and the loving husband of the crew's captain.

It was just really good & reminded me of Ruby Dixon's books. and I'm a huge Ruby Dixon fan I love ice home planet series. just want to talk to this book was I'm really good had me on the other nice to meet pretty much the whole time and I can't wait to read the next one is a good sign I guess. lol sorry I'm not very great at this I love to read writing or typing 😁is not my strong suit.
