I couldn't stop listening!

Desire in His Blood is the first book in the Brides of the Kylorr series. This is my first book by the author and was I impressed! I'm not usually one for PNR, but this was really good. Gemma marries an enemy alien to pay off her father's debts and save her sisters from the same fate. Azur is a monster, a vampire with wings in space (it's not as weird as it sounds when I write it). He wants to save his family as well and Gemma is part of that plan. This one had me from the beginning and I couldn't stop listening. The author really gives us a fantasy world in detail along with internal struggles and some super steamy alien spice! Yum! I can't wait for the rest of this series.

The narration was fabulous! Marcio Catalano is becoming a favorite narrator for me. Stella Hunter is just magnificent as well. These two made the steam happen! 5 spicy space stars!

Audiobook review: This book was so good! It’s been a while since I read a monster romance and it didn’t disappoint. It was an enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience/forced marriage, revenge plot. But when they fell, they fell hard. Lots of blood play, which is my jam. I was swooning by the end. He was absolutely terrifying, he was sweet on her. Obsessed. We. Freaking. Love. It. 👏 Sign me up for the rest of the series because it was so good. Read this book. Better yet, listen to the audio because Stella Hunter and Marcio Catalano absolutely rocked this audio performance.

Did not know what to expect

Actually I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The narrators voices were perfect. I loved the strong engagement between the couple.

The world and relationship building is so good.

Another amazing start to a new series. This makes me want to go relisten to the Horde Kings. No one writes Alien Romance like Zoey. Like you forget it’s Aliens!

Endearing characters. Moving love story. Addictive world building

This book actually made me cry!Really endearing, well fleshed out characters and believable growth of friendship and love between the two characters. Story of blending cultures and families in tough circumstances. The world building, especially the political stuff and spiritual beliefs of the culture were intriguing. I could have done without some of the sex scenes, but they were well written. Just an overall charming and fantastic book. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Great start

This is a great start to a new series. This is the first book I have listened to by Zoey but it will not be the last. I really enjoyed every aspect of this book. I loved the leads and all of the other characters. I can’t wait to learn more about them. I would highly recommend this.

Great narration!

Story: I found the world building to be pretty rich and fun. Initially I was a little lost with all the names but, after a few chapters, I got invested. A bit of a “strangers to lovers”/“enemies to lovers” mix going on which quickly turned to just love (and lots of it 🌶️🌶️🌶️) due to to a different trope that gets introduced pretty early on. Not complaining though!

Narration: I loved both narrators in this so much. Marcio Catalano is particularly good in his role as Azur. His voice is so deep and silky. The way he delivered some of his lines made me feel…so many things. 🥵 Stella Hunter is marvelous! She really helped paint a picture of a strong female lead in Gemma. Also, the duet narration! ❤️ I love duets so much since it makes the story feel more immersive.

Overall: Highly recommended! Narration doesn’t disappoint, the romance is compelling, and the world building lays great ground work for more to come. I’m forward to jumping into the next one in the series now!

Hot PNR duet narration

I always enjoy Zoey’s stories and this was no exception! Marcio and Stella did an amazing job narrating this in duet! It was a bit long but this was necessary to portray the characters and present the vast world and set the scene for the future books in series!
