I couldn't stop listening!

Desire in His Blood is the first book in the Brides of the Kylorr series. This is my first book by the author and was I impressed! I'm not usually one for PNR, but this was really good. Gemma marries an enemy alien to pay off her father's debts and save her sisters from the same fate. Azur is a monster, a vampire with wings in space (it's not as weird as it sounds when I write it). He wants to save his family as well and Gemma is part of that plan. This one had me from the beginning and I couldn't stop listening. The author really gives us a fantasy world in detail along with internal struggles and some super steamy alien spice! Yum! I can't wait for the rest of this series.

The narration was fabulous! Marcio Catalano is becoming a favorite narrator for me. Stella Hunter is just magnificent as well. These two made the steam happen! 5 spicy space stars!

Audiobook review: This book was so good! It’s been a while since I read a monster romance and it didn’t disappoint. It was an enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience/forced marriage, revenge plot. But when they fell, they fell hard. Lots of blood play, which is my jam. I was swooning by the end. He was absolutely terrifying, he was sweet on her. Obsessed. We. Freaking. Love. It. 👏 Sign me up for the rest of the series because it was so good. Read this book. Better yet, listen to the audio because Stella Hunter and Marcio Catalano absolutely rocked this audio performance.

Did not know what to expect

Actually I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The narrators voices were perfect. I loved the strong engagement between the couple.

The world and relationship building is so good.

Another amazing start to a new series. This makes me want to go relisten to the Horde Kings. No one writes Alien Romance like Zoey. Like you forget it’s Aliens!

this book will be going into my read again pile!! the love story in this is epic! morally grey mmc which is a bonus! spicy as hell, I'll be reading more of this author!

Fascinating & Entertaining! Great Story & Listen🎧

Zoey Draven takes you out of this world for another fascinating sci-fi paranormal fantasy romance! It is an original story with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The world building is fantastic, as is the character growth and development. Gemma, a human, the eldest daughter of the house of Hara, and is the one who is running the house and property where the minors work. The Earth Council gave him property as a reward for his heroism in the war, which includes a mine. Except his gambling habit is putting him in debt and he is syphoning money out of the business. Gemma is trying her best to keep it afloat, and when an offer comes with a marriage proposal, she thinks it may be the only way to save her family and the land. Azur of House Kaalium has his reasons for wanting to marry a daughter of the House of Hara and offers a more than a fair amount of money to get her. Gemma did not know why he wanted the marriage, but went with it to prevent her sisters from having to. The marriage was a business transaction and Gemma had to say goodbye to the family and life as she knew it. Azur took her to live on his planet, Krynn, and she did not receive a warm welcome upon her arrival, not even by Azur himself. I admired Gemma’s strength and determination to not let their treatment get to her and loved that she stood up for herself. Azur soon learns there is more to Gemma, and that puts a hitch in his plan. This is a well written and cleverly plotted story, there is a perfect balance of drama, angst, some action, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Zoey Draven, thank you for another great story and wild ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Zoey Draven chose the perfect cast to bring her characters to life. Stella Hunter and Marcio Catalano are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists. Their acting was spot-on, making each character believable and true to their persona. Catalano played Azur’s role perfectly, grasping his alpha demeanor and not afraid to show his softer and caring side. Hunter aced it as Gemma, grasping all sides of her personality, including her strength and determination. Both were just as fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.  

Great new series

Could not stop listening to, this is going to be a great new series. Can’t wait until the next book!

Great narration but you’ll need to follow along with the book

I loved this audio! However I found a lot of the names to be very similar so I had to actually pull up the ebook and follow along. Arranged marriage beauty and the beast retelling that has aliens that drink blood and have wings. Also the spice is so well done!

Great Desire

This was my first Zoe Draven book and I really enjoyed it. Zoe has a great way of building the world where these characters story unfolds which makes it that much easier to immerse yourselves in it. I love enemies to lovers and this was also like a strangers to lovers/forced marriage trope which I also love. Zoe creates great angst and tension between these characters who are fighting their desire for one another but when they let go and take what they want YOWZA!!! Monster/Alien romance is still new to me but the description of Azur is very Alpha dominant but you find he has this softness to him as well. The narration was perfection. Marcio has this purr like quality to his voice and you just melt into the character because of it but on the same hand the dominance in his voice keeps you engaged and submitting to the words he is saying. He manipulates his voice for the many other characters he has to portray and inflects the emotions from the characters as well. Stella’s voice when she narrates just wraps you into the story. Her breath control and pure performance really makes her characters come to life. She has so much passion for her characters as she narrates. Really enjoyed these 2 together!
