Hilarious image to shonen anime

This story is a very clear and sincere love letter to shonen anime stories. Jokes and references abound, characterization is consistent, and it's just plain fun. Highly recommended!

You look strong, want to fight

This is a very action packed humor packed story. Takes huge inspirations from anime, fighting games, and wuxia elements in an interesting blend. Narrator did a very good job adding personality to each different character with his voice acting. Only major con is the MC is super dumb, it's intentional but some people may not like that. The world building is consistent and very unique. Overall solid story.

Read this book or I will kick your trash!!

This is one of the funniest books I have ever read! The beginning is a bit weird, but the story is just plain fun.
Get ready for hours of listening pleasure.

Humorous

I was not ready for a main character to be this stupid but work so well. This book is definitely worth reading!

Extremely entertaining

Great humor, easy to follow, wonderful book all around, one that even my kids will enjoy.

A slap stick punch that just doesn’t land

I really tried to get through this title but it just wasn’t for me. The story just does not hold together and it’s just not the kind of humor that does it for me. The system itself was an intriguing concept, but the characters are all one note and have no reason to meld together. You have cowboys, outlaws, lawmen, hip hop gorillas, goblin kings, witches, knights, princesses, and talking animals that just live their lives together fighting each other. The MC is cringingly stupid, and unfortunately I found him to be more annoying than funny or loveable. The narrator did a nice job with the material he had to work with, but I couldn’t get invested in it regardless of how hard I tried. The fighting scenes show sparks of something good, but then when the battles enter “cinematic mode” or when the Mortal Kombat style language is used in a setting where I don’t feel it fits it pulled me back out of it. Overall it was just too all over the place for me and the comedy wasn’t done well enough to keep me listening and I ended up not finishing.
