Story
Being a parent is not easy. Bringing a child into this world requires a commitment to nurturing them and guiding them, and the ultimate aim is to have a child who is healthy and well-adjusted to life in the modern age. Just decades ago, most people enjoyed support from an extended family and their network of neighbors; this is no longer the case. Families are shrinking, and many parents face the battle of raising a child by themselves.

Publisher's summary
Do you want to help your toddler develop correctly? Are you afraid that you won't be able to educate him properly? If yes, keep reading.
The toddler years are the time for your child to have significant milestones as they learn things like how to feed themselves, dress themselves, and use the potty.
These times are also marked by your little one trying to find their place in the world. They will be defiant and troublesome - but this is how they define themselves and grow into themselves. It is not something that you are doing wrong as a parent that makes them defiant, but something you are doing right.
So, when they reach this critical age of learning and independence, how do you handle it? In this book, you’ll find all the strategies and methods for the right development of your toddler.
The strategies provided offer a calmer, better way of raising children. They reduce frustration and help parents connect with their toddlers. You will learn both how to discipline and how to choose your strategies based on your child’s personality.
As parents, every choice we make affects our children’s development and who they grow up to be. Not only will our strategies reduce the amount of stress you experience as a parent but it will also give you the tools to encourage healthy child development.
Your toddler will grow into a well-rounded, caring individual - because you took the time to learn more.

These days, no one in America feels immune to violence. But now, in this extraordinary, groundbreaking book, the nation's leading expert on predicting violent behavior unlocks the puzzle of human violence and shows that, like every creature on earth, we have within us the ability to predict the harm others might do us and get out of its way. Contrary to popular myth, human violence almost always has a discernible motive and is preceded by clear warning signs.

good to listen
Turned my non-listening toddler into a kid I can talk to. Remaining calm is the hardest part about toddler discipline. If you can do that and state what you mean, it creates an amazing trusting relationship.

Practical and Effective Gentle Parenting Advice
This book is laser-targeted at my needs and is the kind of book I have been waiting for! There are dozens of gentle discipline books out there, but often they are lengthy and more theoretical than practical. Here, Jamie manages to share an approach that is respectful of the child AND the parent in a way that is straightforward and practical. We started applying suggestions Jamie offered immediately and to great effect.
