it is a interesting listen

I was hesitant at first.. the reader threw me off a little bit with the twangy accent.. however.. I kept listening and I am glad I did.. I enjoyed the story line and characters..

Great story

Great story! The cover drew me in and glad it did, this story didn’t disappoint. It’s full of action, magic, and a little romance, and demons. Loved how the mc stayed true to who she was and what she wanted.

Worth it.

I've read this book before but l think listening was even better. it has action, magic, demons and the love triangle. its definitely worth the read/listen.

I loved it. the story was interesting from start to finish.
I feel as though winter is sort of naive which doesn't seem realistic considering her upbringing, but she's interesting. I definitely don't like Alexander at all and find her interest in him kind of pathetic and very shallow.
besides that, I truly enjoyed the story.
I admire how unintrusive the world building is, the introduction of this entirely new world was very organic to the story, with pieces of the world being introduced at appropriate intervals until all was revealed.
I honestly enjoyed it, and am ready to read the next book.
As for the performance of the narrator, it was good.
I found her depiction of basically every teen girl in the book to be trying so hard to sound like a teen that it crossed to spoiled brat, and though that matched well with some characters, it didn't match well with Winter. At parts of the reading Winter sounded like a spoiled rich girl with an attitude which is completely the opposite of who she is and I don't feel it was what she was saying but how is was said.
