Fun story, horrid narration

It’s possible production messed this up. I sped it up to 1.25 and that helped some, but it was almost unlistenable.

Narrator was terrible

The Narrator's phrasing and timing was distracting. There was drama added where there shouldn't have been which distracted from the cleverness of the story. I can only take this in small bites when I would have normally become totally immersed. Wish I hadn't bought it but it was too expensive to leave unfinished.

Very Interesting Story

I read this book first, and absolutely love the story! Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the audiobook and had to DNF in the first half of the story. The pacing by the narrator was off to me with long of pauses at the end of every sentence. There is something to be said about dramatic pauses, but it is t needed after every sentence.

For adult lovers of Disney Movies and brooding hot villains

Such a cute book! This is for the fantasy readers who love rom-coms, quirky FMCS, a brooding hot villain, and movies like Shrek. It was utterly hilarious and adorable. I really enjoyed it overall.

TikTok teasers come true - and I need more!

I’ve watched Hannah’s telling of Evie and The Villain’s story in her TikTok’s for over a year, and I am so excited that the book is finally here! The first book is everything I hoped it would be. I laughed, my heart ached, I found out The Villain’s real name (!), and I was finally introduced to Evie and The Villain’s backstory. But I need more! Can’t wait for book 2!

Witty, humorous and Sweet

The dry and sarcastic humor in this book has been some of the funniest things to read. The characters are lovable and memorable, and the overall relationship between Tristan and Evie is an achingly sweet slow burn that I am greatly anticipating in the next book. The cliffhanger was unwarranted, but I am now dying to read what comes next. Evie has so much potential in her current role. Thank you for one of the most enjoyable reads I have found this year.

You’ve got to see the TikTok series

Love the characters and the story and so proud of Hannah, the author. I really wish they would have let Hannah narrate the story. This narrator, though she has a lovely voice, is too subdued. She didn’t really understand and convey Evie’s sunshine personality. Go check out the TikTok series to get the right view of the characters. Soooo good!

Just the good read I was looking for.

This story is full of adventure, light hearted, and a shocking twist at the end. Everything I was looking for.
At times, the narrator was confusing by putting emphasis on the wrong parts. But the story line exceeded expectations enough to look past the narrator’s shortcomings. I thoroughly enjoyed book! I didn’t want it to end.

Loved Everything!

Loved this book and I loved the Narrator! She did an excellent job bringing to life both Evie and Tristan, as well as the rest of the characters.

Couldn’t put it down!

I am devastated about how long I must wait for boom two! The banter was fantastic. The twists were fantastic. The slow burn…FANTASTIC. I guess watching her TikTok’s will have to tide me over until release.
