A new game is a foot

This is my first Kel Carpenter book and man, what a doozie. I loved the characters. This story is a mishmash of crazy things; exciting things! Supernatural teenagers. Family drama. High school angst. And…. Fighting. Haha.

Selena is a powerful, sort of selfish, out of control girl who doesn’t Lebowski to handle her temper and ability. She’s a bomb waiting to go off. And the academy is her last resort. The last place she may have a chance to get her life under control.

Boxing may be just the outlet she needs to get the building emotions and powers in the bag. And for a time it works. Boxing allows her to work it off. Plus kicking butts is always fun. Add to that a hunky, southern boy, who not only understands her, but tries to help her.

Lucas is her saving grace. Her new best friend and the reason she may walk away from the bad things coming her way. And boy howdy, those troubles are coming in hot with both barres ready to go.

I have never ever loved a book more than this. If I wasnt reading it I was listening to it. Listened 2 it 3 times over and each time it becomes more special

Great ya/adult series

Amazing value on this audio book. So many hours of great content. The story is immersive and very well written. Great character arcs and you will grow attached to the world and Selena. Highly recommend.

Amazing World and Story

The story and world really drew me in. I don't know why some people said this was hard to get through, because the narrator was great, and the writing was fantastic. A must listen to series!!!

Long story

So. I usually burn through book series like this. This one started off great and roped you in! Great characters, good plot, strong heroine. Then. It got dark. The internal monologs and dark twists made this REALLY hard to get through. I think it righted itself in the end, but this was one long series that was extremely dark for paranormal fun.
