Publisher's summary
A glamorous prep school girl goes missing after a love affair with a teacher in this irresistible thriller from France's number one best-selling novelist.
Twenty-five years ago, on a campus paralyzed by a snowstorm, beautiful 19-year-old Vinca Rockwell ran away with her philosophy teacher after they began a secret affair. For Vinca, "love is everything or nothing".
She is never seen again.
The once inseparable Manon, Thomas and Maxime - Vinca's best friends - have not spoken since graduation. Twenty-five years earlier, under terrible circumstances, the three of them committed a murder and buried the body in the gymnasium wall, the same wall that is about to be demolished to make way for an ultramodern new building.
Now, the three friends are about to meet again at their reunion. Will decades of lies unravel to reveal what really happened on that deadly winter night?
Taut, suspenseful, and addictive, The Reunion will grip you until its haunting final tick.
Critic reviews
"The French call it a coup de foudre: a strike of lightning. That's how The Reunion zapped me, electrified me. For almost a decade, Guillaume Musso has reigned supreme as France's most popular author, and with this, his American debut, he's instantly poised to join the ranks of Stieg Larsson and Jo Nesbo. The Reunion zigzags so nimbly - between past and present, from intrigue to terror, amid possible suspects and potential victims - that you're at very real risk of whiplash. Witty, elegant, and peopled with complex characters, it's one of the most sheerly suspenseful novels I've read in years - and among the most enjoyable, too."(A.J. Finn, best-selling author of The Woman in the Window)
"This immensely satisfying thriller about a prep school scandal and three friends' buried secrets had me turning the pages well into the night. The Reunion has everything a masterful thriller should: gut-wrenching suspense, a twisting story with blindsiding surprises, and a narrator with a mysterious past. It's no wonder that Guillaume Musso is one of France's most loved, bestselling authors." (Harlan Coben)

Secrets and lies can’t stay buried forever in Cedar Valley. In the summer, hikers and campers pack the small Colorado town’s meadows and fields. And in the winter, skiers and snowboarders take over the mountains. Season by season, year after year, time passes, and the lies, like the aspens and evergreens that surround the town, take root and spread deep. Now, someone has uncovered the lies, and it is his murder that continues a chain of events that began almost 40 years ago.

It was summer in the mountains when five small children vanished from their nursery school picnic. The heat was stifling that day, the tinkle of an ice-cream van in the air.... Three-and-a-half years later, in the dead of winter, the children are returned to their families...one by one. All except for Ivy - the granddaughter of Homicide Detective Kate Wakeland. Oh What Tangled Webs We Weave...
An interesting drama, full of flash backs and recollections. A well done translation from French. However the French names left me struggling to understand who and where the scene was set. Three years of high school French 50 years ago failed me here!

Great Mystery
I enjoyed how this story was different from others under this theme. The plot was well conveyed and character development was excellent. There were quite a few players but it was easy to keep track as a result. Although I think there was supposed to be a building up of angst, I never really got that but looked forward to more clues and info. Nice twists one after the other near and to the end!
Narration by all was outstanding!!

Pleasantly surprised
I just randomly found and have to say didn’t have high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised and truly enjoyed. Thought it was an intriguing story and for a brand new mom who finds it hard to take time to listen to books I was so enthralled and couldn’t wait to get in the car so I could listen. The ending was great had no idea which is very rare for books these days. No tired tropes! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent!
I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I get distracted easily, so I often find my mind wandering while listening to books, but this one kept my attention all the way through. I loved the characters, the setting, the twists and turns that I never saw coming. I rarely give 5 stars, but I felt that this one deserved it!
