Orphaned by Monsters. Matt must power up to save others from the same fate.

Matt plans to delve the rifts responsible for the monsters that destroyed his city and murdered his parents. But his dreams are crushed when his Tier 1 Talent is rated as detrimental and no guild or group will take him.

Working at a nearby inn, he meets a mysterious and powerful couple. They give him a chance to join the Path of Ascension, an empire-wide race to ascend the Tiers and become living legends.

With their recommendation and a stolen Skill, Matt begins his journey to the peak of power. Maybe then, he can get vengeance he seeks....

Experience the start of an action-packed fantasy adventure that blends everything you love about LitRPG with Xianxia. With five million views on Royal Road, this hit web serial is new and improved and now available.

About the series: This is a mix between LitRPG and Xianxia. It's like a car that looks like a LitRPG with dungeons and skills, but the interior and engine are all Xianxia. It features a magic system and progression system that are logically and internally consistent, as well as realistic fight scenes and a rational MC.

I've listened to the series up to book six and am loving it. I enjoy the humor. I like how while there are bad people encountered in the series it isn't a dystopian "might makes right" society that the story is set in (I've gotten a bit tired of those). I thought that the action is well written, engaging, and easy to follow. The story features one of the best (maybe even THE best) animal companion characters I've seen. I hope you give the series a try.

Love this series.

I loved book one , very little woke lbgt stuff, sneaks in girl boss and gay marriage.

I could not finish Book 2, author takes everything you love about MC and book 1 and flushes it with girl sexual assault drama only to annoyingly prescribe therapy 😂

Like that would help anyone in fantasy or IRL 😂😂

Sneaky WOKE series you been warned

very Stat heavy in the beginning. didn't like the narration choice of using a different voice for skill names. other than that highly enjoyable. can't wait for more in the series

short description more for me, possible spoilers.

infinite mana with no storage capacity. ice fox bond. blood mage partner. tier system. interesting side characters.

better as it goes

it's a wonderfully thought out story, but the change in voice whenever a skill was named really destroys the engrossing nature of the novel. I hope they iron out these problems on the next installment.

Loved the story, but...

I don't give many reviews, but this book hit a home run. Everything from the characters, system mechanics, plot, development and environmental details are great. The only negative would be how they splice the skill names in when mentioned, however compared to many other books in the genre this audiobook stands out. The narrators do an excellent job conveying emotion and tone of the story. My only constructive criticism to the publisher is have the narrators say the skills name as they pop up throughout the book so the flow of the book is better and I would have given it a complete 5 out of 5.

P.s. The length of the story was exactly as it should be, the time flew by as I was listening nothing seemed rushed or was dragging along, the pacing was perfect.

This needs to be a series!

The characters are good, if a little generic for progression series. Where the story shines is its excellent world building. Not only is a conceptually interesting the societal ramifications are well thought out.

honestly my only complaint is that the skills are read like they're in all caps every time, even if it breaks how the sentence should flow. This isn't even that big of a problem since no one has an absurd amount of skills. Minor spoiler the MC only has three by the end of the book and this is pretty typical of people his tear.

Honestly the writing is excellent and I'd highly recommend to fans of the genre.

Best sci-fi cultivation hybrid I've come across.

so aside from the skill calling thing which is annoying but tolerable....please dont do that in sequel, the story is solid and the world building is great. I already listened to this book multiple times and I really hope the author continues with it cause I wanna see where book 2 takes you! Also the fox is kick a** lol the narrator does a great job with her internal monologues.

I think it's pretty good
