King of taking a woopen
So I love the i can take a hit and keep going like are favorite Chicago wizzard but man this poor man didn't even get a chance to make it. love hated will read the next book hopefully he makes some sort of success other than as a slave runaway.

Fantastic Book but not LitRPG
interesting powers, darker plot, and a weak to strong MC. The pacing of the book was just about perfect for me, no huge one chapter power ups and the MC slowly goes from naive to hardened due to his experiences. My only negative for this book is it’s marketed as a LitRPG instead of a progression fantasy. There are no elements of a LitRPG in this book and it left me waiting for anything related to it.
That one complaint aside, I can’t wait for the next book!

MC balances the realities of a mortal man with the makings of a legend!
The MC has the weakness of any mortal man fear and doubt but performs on the bleeding edge when all options forsake him. A good mix of flaws and enough the will to persevere. I like where we ended and I look forward to some good and proper character development.

Book 2 can't arrive fast enough!!
This is a story with an MC who ACTUALLY faces challenges and isn't perfect and surrounded by plot armor. If you want to read a book where the MC faces mistakes and lives through them... get this book. This is an interesting new magic system and you can tell the author gets better as the story progresses.

Even though it follows many of the normal litrpg things it is definitely still original
I love the point of view of what it would be like being so weak and will no help and love the story growth. I will buy the next one
