About this listen

All your questions are answered in the fifth book in James Dashner's number one New York Times best-selling Maze Runner series. The story that fans all over the world have been waiting for - the story of how Thomas and WICKED built the Maze - is finally here. You do not want to miss it.

Once there was a world's end.

The forests burned, the lakes and rivers dried up, and the oceans swelled.

Then came a plague, and fever spread across the globe. Families died, violence reigned, and man killed man.

Next came WICKED, who were looking for an answer. And then they found the perfect boy.

The boy's name was Thomas, and Thomas built a maze.

Now there are secrets.

There are lies.

And there are loyalties history could never have foreseen.

This is the story of that boy, Thomas, and how he built a maze that only he could tear down.

All will be revealed.

A prequel to the worldwide Maze Runner phenomenon, The Fever Code is the book that holds all the answers. How did WICKED find the Gladers? Who are Group B? And what side are Thomas and Teresa really on? Lies will be exposed. Secrets will be uncovered. Loyalties will be proven. Fans will never see the truth coming. Before there was the Maze, there was The Fever Code.

Don't miss The Maze Runner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure, all now major motion pictures from 20th Century Fox, starring Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito, and Aidan Gillen. And look for James Dashner's new best-selling series the Mortality Doctrine: The Eye of Minds, The Rule of Thoughts, and The Game of Lives.

Another great book in the maze runner series

I loved learning more about how the mazes developed and how the kids that were put in the maze came to be with Wicked in the first place. I also liked learning more about the main character, Thomas.

Great Chapter in the Maze Runner series

I am glad this one came out as it help explains how everything started. It completes the series for me. Read well and flows well. Recommend it for avid followers of the series.

I wanted more

essentially, I read an entire book just to.understand who was a terrible person and who wasn't in the end. the last few chapters were great, but this wasn't on par with any of the other books in the series.

Wow!!

So many ups and downs and the ending got me like 😱 Mark Deakins does a great job with all the Maze books. I will listen to them all over again.

My review I guess

Mark Deakins(Narrator) was soo good! Umm, oh and the story itself was good to, it was just a back story to Tom's past and stuff about the maze. I gave it full ratings and you should to!╮(╯▽╰)╭

a great beginning/end to a series.

I really enjoyed this series. I hope for future books, but am not sure where they would be placed in the time line. I would enjoy a detailed report of wicked crumbling.

Another great one by Dashner

Would you listen to The Fever Code again? Why?

Yes. Because I’m sure I’ll listen to the Maze Runner series again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fever Code?

How young Thomas was when he was given to be studied.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Thomas first heard Theresa talk to him in his head.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was really sad and stunned when they torcheres little 5 year old Thomas to change his name. Who could do that to a child?!

Maybe a sequel in the works?

Based on what happenes at the end along with the ending of ' The Death Cure', it seems like there will be a sequel.
