I thought this was the end

I failed to read the writers most recent update to his website's FAQ section. I was expecting this to be the last book, and it really looked like it code be, until I realized it didn't actually address the impending doom of the unknown extra-galatical threat. real good book, better than the last two. was hoping I could rest though knowing humanity was safe or something, oh well.

the second half is better than the first. the first it doesn't develop characters as much as meander about almost aimlessly.
