About this listen

A new time-travel thriller from Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Amazon and Audible best-selling author R. R. Haywood. Creator of the smash-hit time-travel series Extracted and the UK’s number one horror series The Undead.

A man falls from the sky. He has no memory. He has no sense of self. What lies ahead are a series of tests, each more brutal than the last, and if he gets through them all, he might just reach a town called Discovery.

Crazy-Inventive Storyline

I loved this book. The story hooks you HARD from the opening and doesn’t let up for ages. When it does, it does so with a needed splash of humor after that emotional drag race of a beginning.

Haywood has a gift for creating engaging characters, putting them in ridiculous, painful situations, and then making you squirm in your chair — laughing and crying — as they try to work themselves free. Chaos follows.

Buy it. You’ll love it. But if you don’t, consider sticking with the self-help, vampire romance, or whatever boring drivel turns your crank. This book does not play well within genre-defining guidelines.

A mind bending adventure!

I loved this book! Not my normal listening genre but, what an adventure. Intrigue, conspiracy, love that's a hot mess, alternate realities, this book has it all. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

RR Haywood and Carl Prekopp

What a winning combination the Storyline gives me all the feels and the narration is flawless!! If you have listened to other books with this combination do yourself a favor and give them a listen also!

Disappointing

I was expecting big something similar to the Extracted series, but this was not it. Exponentially more brutal and sexual than Extracted, and honestly, other than the brutality, there’s not a whole lot of plot development. Ok, yeah, there’s an underlying “why are we here?” But precious little time or effort is spent exploring that. And I was particularly disappointed in the ending. Felt like just a hard stop with a definite leadin to the next in the series.

Can’t say it isn’t a common thing, particularly in universe-building, but the extreme violence and crass sexual behavior just really isn’t my cup of tea. If lots of fast brutal action appeals to you though (and I do realize there’s a large audience for that), you may love this book. Carl Prekopp is certainly a very enjoyable narrator

F**k, there's only one book! But it is great.

I was going to give 5 stars, and then realized that there is no sequel yet... so it was going back to a 1 star so the author would have to suffer with me. But i didn't want anyone else to miss out on a great read, so 5 stars it is.

Excellent ride, i love all the characters and the bizarre messed up journey they are on. There is so much more to the world and story but it gives just enough to capture you for this journey. I do hope there will be more.

Amazing.

Couldn't put this one down. Can't wait for a sequel, there better be a sequel.

Good for Gamers -spoiler alert

This book is like watching level after level of a video game where your character keeps dying until you figure out how to get to the next level. I stopped listening about the time the walking dead children came after him.

Slow start

Too much repetition in the start. Middle section very good. Some major points not being explained.
