Excellent Series!

This is an outstanding series—great detective work, interesting professional interactions, compelling stories, and intriguing characters with developing personal stories from book to book. I particularly like the irreverent lead character DCI Lomond. He’s humorous, passionate, vulnerable and a bit of a maverick. The narration by the amazing Angus King is the cherry on top for what has quickly become one of my favorite series. Keep ‘em coming, Mr. Raymond!

How refreshing to see characters progress

I like this series more and more. Particularly now that I can recognize the voices Angus King attaches to these characters and hear less and less of JD Kirk’s crew. Lomond’s world is a bit more somber but engaging all the same. There is a tenderness in the midst of all the mayhem that has me wanting more.

Andrew Raymond & Angus King are a winning team! Together, the writer and the performer, bring us three-dimensional characters bursting with life! The twists & turns kept me guessing and turning the pages. Endearing ending . . .

Enjoying this series.

Great listen! The third book in this series is as compelling as the first two. I found the plot quite complicated and the cast of names to keep track of a little confusing to begin with but eventually sorted out what was what. I enjoy the regular characters and it will be interesting to see if / how many of the “Fettes Lot” feature in future.

Great story with clever dialogue

Really enjoyed this book, the narration, and the ironic interesting dialogue between characters. They were all pretty real to me, and each brought something really special to the story. Will definitely read #4 when it comes out.

Great series

I really like this entire series and the presentation. the mysteries are interesting and the characters are real and well developed. the different voices used by the narrarator really add to the immersion experience

The story is great with good characters

Love all the characters, was a little worried in this book that one or more might go… so soon! Can’t wait for next book! Angus King is an awesome narrator/voice actor!

Really Enjoyed This Book!

Angus King is an exceptional narrator! As he does with JD Kirk’s DCI Logan series, the differentiation in character voices creates a cohesive team experience as the author intends. Mr. Raymond’s ‘The Bloody, Bloody Banks’ fleshes out characters and their backstories to the point that their motivations and actions are understandable. We gain an insight into Lomand, his team, and the developing chemistry that makes them work.

Good storyline

Good storyline and interesting characters but I wish they didn't feel the need for so many F bombs and using Christ and Jesus as swear words.
