About this listen

Never before have we had so much information available to us about food and health. There's GAPS, paleo, detox, gluten-free, alkaline, the sugar conspiracy, clean eating....

Unfortunately, a lot of it is not only wrong but actually harmful. So why do so many of us believe this bad science? Assembling a crack team of psychiatrists, behavioral economists, food scientists, and dietitians, the Angry Chef unravels the mystery of why sensible, intelligent people are so easily taken in by the latest food fads, making brief detours for an expletive-laden rant.

At the end of it all you'll have the tools to spot pseudoscience for yourself and the Angry Chef will be off for a nice cup of tea - and it will have two sugars in it, thank you very much.

really enjoyed this book laughed aloud

I wasn't sure what to think about this book at first when I picked it up but I'm so glad that I did I found myself really enjoying the humor with and all of the stories shared as well as the ideas I think the author did a great job

Just dumb.

Completely not what I expected. Hoping for more science. Instead just got a lot of unnecessary swearing and literary so-called “art”. Not worth the time.

Not as revelatory or helpful as I was expecting

This book felt like it was written by the kind of person who wishes you good morning at 12:03 while you’re still out at the bar… technically correct but missing the point. If you struggle with believing food fads and crash diets, this book may help you break that relationship down a bit and could be useful. But for me I felt myself just shrugging along to the whole thing saying “well duh”.
