Great Message/Bothersome Delivery
The message and support this book offers is great, although the author speaks from an un-relatable place of privilege (hence 4 stars). I’ve done the fast twice. I’d like to listen a third time, continuing to refine the fast each time, but I don’t think I can handle the narrator’s voice anymore. The way the words are pronounced is glaringly unnatural, with the D’s clipped and the S’s pronounced in different forms of lisped and SZ sounds. Because she pronounces the same words differently, even within the same sentence, it feels very unnatural and is deeply distracting from the message. I hope the author allows someone else to narrate her next book so the message takes center stage rather the performance-heavy, odd and inconsistent pronunciation of words and sounds.

Excellent book. Wendy's voice is soothing.
I finished the book in 3 days. So much biblical wisdom and motivation to break the sugar addiction and get closer to God. I'm excited to continue on the journey.

Great resource
I loved this book which didn’t focus on quitting sugar alone, the author included several passages of scripture enlightening this difficult but necessary journey.

Amazing book to accompany this type of journey!
I wish I had the words to show how grateful I am that this book stumbled into my life last year. I know I wasn't ready at the time but this year I felt the Holy Spirit calling me to a journey of transformation. The words in this book, the scriptures and the insight helped me in a way that I will be forever grateful. You can't walk away the same person after diligently submitting to this fast with your whole heart.
