The best book ever!!!!

I literally couldn’t stop listening if I tried. Can’t wait to hear Giancarlo and Benito stories.

Dark romance!

Don’t forget to check trigger warnings. I absolutely loved this dark mafia romance! The narrator did a good job as well.

Kept me engaged from beginning to end

I have had a really hard time finishing books recently, but this book kept my interest and was great from beginning to end!

When I say I devoured this book, all other responsibilities were put on hold. I've always enjoyed dark and twisted books; this one checked all the boxes.

Enzo and Tex are so wrong for each other that they are right. With Enzo being in the Mafia with his brothers and Tex being a cop trying to prove himself, they cross paths and can't seem to stay away from each other.

Their chemistry was coming off. These two were amazing. Learning about both characters, I quickly became very invested in their HEA. The spicy scenes in this book are off the charts, and I had to stop a few times just because it was getting hard to read in public. The pacing in this book was fabulous; it didn't seem too long or too short, and nothing was drawn out.

The narrator did a great job breathing life into this story and making the character feel real. The scenes also added an extra bit of spice because of the audio.

Fantastic! Absolutely Loved It!

I absolutely loved the audiobook version of this book! I thought it was fantastic! Narrated by Declan Winters, he did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and I couldn't want a more perfect narrator to give a voice to this series! Each character had a distinct voice and was easy to distinguish- whether it was Enzo's calm and control, Tex's personality and passion, Giancarlo's more sociable nature, or even Tex's father's tough coldness and his mother's weakness and affection. You can really feel who these characters are by the tones and inflections of their voices. I was most impressed by Enzo's voice. It had a soothing calm even in the darkest of situations, but could get deeper and more dominant and make me shiver. Enzo fascinated me not only for his character and seeing his outlook through his eyes, but by the voice Declan gave him. It was easy to love Tex. He was determined and passionate. I loved his accent. The chemistry and heat between Tex and Enzo was fire. But some of my favorite scenes are the two of them watching movies and eating dinner together. Tex really SAW Enzo in those moments and I thought them so beautiful. And how could I not love the dynamic between them? A cop trying to make detective and get out from under his father's shadow, and a deadly mobster in an untouchable and powerful crime family. It added a delicious layer of tension and pressure.

I cannot wait to listen to the rest of this series. I highly recommend picking this audiobook up. You're in for a treat!

Great start to this MM mafia series

This was my first book by these authors and it will not be my last. This was also my first book by this narrator Declan Winters. Who I must say did a fantastic job narrating all the characters in this book. 10/10 recommend.


This was a great story, I give it probably a 4.5. It has everything you like: enemies to lovers/ Insta lust / forbidden etc. it brings the 🔥🔥🔥 it also had really good autism rep with one of the characters in this book and the whole mafia/cop (trope?) was interesting. Not my favorite, but it kept my interest. All the characters were really well done. The story was also entertaining and kept me guessing about how some things would pay out. I enjoyed it so much that I got the other two books in this series that are currently out on audio, I’m so excited to read / listen to them.

Good book but really violent. Not very realistic that everyone was ok with them being gay in that world but you need to suspend reality.

Declan’s narration is fire🔥

Love the series and was super thrilled when I heard it was coming to audiobook. Declan’s narration is fantastic and brings the characters to life exactly how I imagined them. Though not going to lie every time he voiced Penelope I couldn’t help but laugh.
If you love stories with action, complex characters, dubcon, touch him and die vibes, check it out !

I finished this book in a day! The narrator did an amazing job ! His voice for Enzo was on spot. Highly recommend

Suspense with a twist

Fantastic story with a wonderful voice. It was really enjoyable. Diving straight into the next book to see what happens next.
