This is an action-packed romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers. It features an over-the-top possessive psychopath and a peculiar medical examiner with a stomach made of steel. There's violence, torture (only of very bad people), dark humor, amazing side characters, and very spicy scenes with blood play. Morality's grey area is quite stretched in this story.

This is book one in the Angels of Wrath Series. Each book follows a different couple.

One of the best Dark romance stories I’ve read!

Loved the back story and the darkness! The characters are great and the heat is amazing.

loved the sound of narrator it flowed so smoothly. this was my first time back listening to a audible book in years and after such a great listen will be ordering more. can't wait for next book in series.

Good narration. Decent story.

The blurb for this story caught my attention. It sounded like something my dark soul would appreciate. The sale price and narrators sold me on giving this book a try.

The idea behind the story was interesting. The author delves into certain aspects of psychology that are often misunderstood by the general public. Unfortunately, the execution of the story didn't quite work for me. I think the book could have used a bit more polish. The author told me about the characters, but I wanted the characters to tell me about themselves. I don't think this book worked well as first person. Telling a story about a psychopath is not the same as getting inside the head of a psychopath, and letting them tell the story.

The narration was well done, and I enjoyed both narrators voices. If you are looking for a dark anti-hero story with plenty of steamy scenes, this will be a good read/listen.

Can’t wait to listen to the second one. The narrators did a fantastic job. Found Declan Winter’s via another Mafia series - Vitale Brothers, and I had to check this one out and so glad I did. If you love possessive psycho who is obsessed with his love interest, this series is for you

Great storyline and narrative! I will definitely read more from this author and series. Worth reading!

Morally grey and wonderful!

This is dark romance done right! I can’t wait to consume more of this series.

This narrator pairing is also wonderful. A few production issues with Michael’s part - edits spliced in that were not a good match to what came before and after. But performances from both were so good!
More story than spice, when those scenes arrived 🥵 they delivered!

This was a new author for me, and while I’d heard both narrators before, this was the first time I’d listened to them together. I’m a fan of it all. Off to download the next!

Well written!!!

This is more than your average MM Romance/sex series. It strangely feels culturally important without lecturing and remains smart, funny, mysterious and incredibly well performed. Seamless pairing of narrators. Every character is distinct. Please continue the series. Seriously, it needs to happen.

Worth the 🎧

Paulina Ian-Kane is a new author for me. I bought this book because it was on sale, is a dark romance, and MM. I am so happy that I took a listen. I 💯 % will listen to more of her books. She creates great pictures in my mind, the story doesn’t lag, and it has great 🌶️ scenes with plenty of dirty talk! 🥵 There are a few cute lines thrown in, adorable pet names, swoon worthy alphaholes, and a unique story. She does touch on real issues like childhood trauma, anxiety, selling of kids, and does use blood play in some s€x scenes- just check trigger warnings if you got some! It’s worth giving this book a chance!!

Riveting story

This had me hooked from the beginning and the twist near the end actually did surprise me a bit, which doesn’t happen very often. Complex storyline and characters. Looking forward to the next one. My only criticism is that I was not thrilled with Michael’s voice, but that’s just personal preference, and Rafael’s voice more than made up for it.
