Fun and compelling!

I love Neve Wilder and her collaboration with Onley James did not disappoint! This was a really interesting story and all the characters were unique in their own right.

Liam did a fantastic job with the narration as well!

Liam’s narration was fantastic as always and authors turned out a sexy exciting and riveting story as expected.

Amazing

Oh my GOD!! This book was insanely GOOD! Amazing! I’m speechless. It was dirty and rough, hardcore and gritty. Pure sin and unrepentant. I’m just in love. Cas and Jonah were just meant to be together in my opinion. And Madi’s book will be explosive.
I was hooked since the beginning, the action and scenes were vivid and absolutely delicious. Amazing!

Assassin Mentor Meets Grown Protege

Wickedly professional Jonah is shocked and thrilled when his protege from years past comes back into his world. Caspian, now a sexy adult and computer hacker genius, has need of protection from powerful people who want the flash drive he carries and his death.
Good meaty story. Lots of explicit violence and sex.
Decent narration.

This book is super steamy and action packed. So if you like those things, you'll love this!

Okay, I will preface this...
If you want your thriller full of twists and turns and betrayal (might not be for you)

Holy cow I love this book! Lower angst romance with a underbelly of society twist! The characters are real people whose life circumstances have led them to be a hardened killer for hire and a dark web hacker for rebels and governments alike.

This is also a play on second chance romance which is always a trope that makes me happy

Glad I Kept Listening

After a while I remembered that I read the book when it first came out, and I did enjoy it, but found the main characters challenging in print, too. The reasons for their unlikable bits just comes out, but it's not a surprise. Jonah didn't struggle coming to terms with his attraction to Caspian, which I think could have added to the story. The intrigue, not the romance, kept me listening.

great story and superb narration

to start with, i saw in one the reviews someone said there is no plot and too much s3x. well, i have to disagree and say the plot was really good. it was action-packed and lots of stuff going on. also, i didnt feel it was too much s*x. the right amount and the scenes were super hot.

I loved the feels between Cas and Jonah and their little humor.

the narration by Liam was on point.

overall really enjoyed this one.

Gotta have grit to listen to this one

The story was fierce,gruesome, The sex scenes were, for me and after the first few, superfluous to the story and I advanced through them, I stayed with the story, and I've read a few of the later books so had an inkling what this one would entail and wanted to find out the backstory on the characters. The authors really are talented, in my estimation, and the words flow smoothly through the narration. To my ear, the narrator is smooth, clear, and handles enough of the voices that I could tell who was speaking. And I wouldn't have wanted the scenes "acted out" -- (yikes), but the affect was a little too ... flat? Indifferent? I dunno. This isn't a book for late at night by yourself, and I pretty much removed myself from a lot of the action -- possibly much as the narrator did? Anyway, bad people doing bad things to other bad people. And yet, the characters are "real" enough to catch my interest. If you cannot stand torture and pain, find something else to read. And, of course, YMMV.
