The sudden intrusion of a six-foot-one American lass, famous for her traveling misfortunes, was far from his plan.

As this world of folklore, community, and woodworkers-in-kilts tempts Katie to discover her own story, could this one grand series of misadventures lead her directly to where she belongs? And would a settled-in-Scot ever risk loosening his grip on what's familiar to allow a wanderlust writer a home in his heart? How could their very different worlds share the same page of life's story when "home" is in two very different places? But maybe home—and the future—isn't quite what either one imagined it would be. Maybe home is less about a place . . . and more about a person.

Pepper Basham has done it again! If you want a Rom-Com set in Scotland - with a hint of costume drama, a clumsy meet-cute, lots of heart and humor, a "hairy coo," a cute kid and a hot Scot - all wrapped in a story with a strong message about grief, guilt, surviving, healing and faith, this a wonderful book for you!

Pepper is masterful at weaving hilarity, humor and humanity into a relatable, lighthearted "non-Hallmarkian" love story in a setting you never want to leave. (I do think we need more from these characters! They're so great!) She never shirks from sharing the Gospel in her books and I love that.

The narration just sucks you in and keeps you thoroughly engaged. Well done!

I really enjoyed listening to this book! Great character arcs, lots of humor, and the narrator did a fabulous job!! Highly recommend.

She did it again!

Pepper Basham has once again introduced us to characters we’ve fallen in love with! Katie was so relatable I couldn’t help but love her! And Graeme? Well… 😍 I laughed out loud in several places while also having tears in others. Lachlan, Graeme’s 8-yo nephew, was adorable and Graeme’s mother, Mirren, touched Katie’s heart in areas that her dysfunctional mother had stripped raw. This has the full package!! If Miss Adventure were writing a travel blog today, I’d be sure to follow it!!
The narrators were amazing!! The accents and their “heart” added another layer of wonderfulness to this book! Highly recommended!

A sweet Christian rom-com

I really enjoyed this book. It’s charming and funny, and filled with an abundance of bad puns. This is a sweet and clean Christian rom-com set in modern day Scotland. It focuses on character growth and has a strong message of faith and hope.

I will warn that the book is quite slow and takes its time working through the struggles of both MCs. Both have suffered the loss of a loved one and both have been hurt by those they love. Their relationship is heartwarming, sweet, and well developed.

Highly recommended to those who don’t mind a slower pace. And to those who enjoy audiobooks, the narrator does a most exceptional job.

There is no foul language, sex, or violence. The romance is limited to minor ogling and lightly descriptive kissing. This is a Christian book with a strong message of faith and God.

I have come to love anything by Pepper Basham. The wholesome stories abound with lovable characters, witty dialogue, and just so much fun.

I like it Scot!

Wonderful performance of a fabulous story. Graeme left me weak in the knees and Katie brought my heart to new heights. What a great balance of humor, romance, and life, all accented with critters and misadventures.

Not to miss!

This may be Pepper’s best book yet. Scotland, humor, hope, kids, dogs, knitting ladies and grumpy highland coos and men. Add some Edwardian mishaps and a few cups of tea and you have the recipe for reading perfection. Listen for all the accent loveliness.

It was so fun to read!

I love the characters and I love how the author describes the setting. It made me feel as if I had traveled to this beautiful little isle. I love the way the family in Scotland deals with loss. I could feel the family's warmth and kindness and closeness. Excellent story! I must admit the adorable phrase Hairy Coo is now stuck in my head a bit! 😊

Gah! Katie and her hot Scot

I adore the writings of Pepper Basham. Her characters are so real and relatable. Some Like it Scot doesna disappoint. The narrators are fantastic and completely understand and know the main cast. Their performances are spot on. Bravo!

Delightful story

I truly enjoyed this story. It was delightful and laugh out loud funny at times. Katie was endearing. Graeme was sweet. Lochlan was my favorite.
