Truly Good Christian Fiction

I LOVE that this story recites scripture and history so frequently in the book and that the story weaves in and out of both! I loved the connections that were built between past and present. I really enjoyed this book, will seek out this author again, and will likely purchase this in hard copy as well.

Really liked the story with the family history intertwined and the recipes to go along with the story.

I enjoyed this book, and would be a good one to have a hard copy of because of the recipes. I liked how the notes with the recipes helped Nicki through her struggles. And I liked uncle Wes.

Wisdom wrapped in story

This is my second book by Sara Brunsvold. She is a true wordsmith.
The characters come across so real I have to remind myself they only exist in this book and conversation about the book.
I think the wisest thing in this book is that the greatest joy comes from forgiveness understanding that God has forgiven us for a lifetime of sins so our forgiveness of others is much easier to give. I enjoyed the narrator who brings the characters and story to life.

Sweet heartwarming story of love for family and love for one’s self.

For anyone that has experienced the hurt of a family struggle this story reminds us to trust in him and to have faith. By being an example of Gods love, we can forgive and be forgiven and find peace.

“Working Through Emotional Pain”

I selected this novel because after listening to the previous author’s vulgarities, I desired an uplifting change. This novel did not disappoint!
The setting is based on a real group who left Europe and established a community in the Midwest US.
The recipes were enticing and sounded tasty. Faith and forgiveness are interwoven throughout. Finally, the narrator is excellent.

Amazing Story, Amazing Narrator

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I couldn't not tell the world how much I loved this book. I had no idea what a treat I was in for! This book is its own perfect recipe with just the right amounts of truth, love, and tears-happy and sad! My heart was continually uplifted and my spirit was repeatedly convicted, in the absolute best way. THANK YOU, Sara, for sharing this story with us and thank you to Jennette for sharing her talent with us through narrating. If you listen to this book, you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Sensory Experience
