Another great addition to the Series!

This is the second novella in The Lacey James series, a crime thriller. This is another great addition to this thrilling series. Lacey James is back! The plot is intriguing, and entertaining, filled with drama, mystery, and suspense. Lacey's husband Caleb is an amazing supporting character. I like the romance in the story. The characters are well developed. Cassandra Medcalf did a fantastic job with the narration. Looking forward for more in the series. I like this series of suspenseful novellas. I highly recommend it. #TheFlock

Secrets unravel

This is another book following the same characters. Snowstorm, high-ex being rude, him kicking her out of the truck, a stranger helps but still not trusting him. Will they be able to save her? I look forward to reading more from this author.

I recieved this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Intense thriller

Save Her is book 2 in the Lacey James series, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a quick read but its fast paced, action packed storyline doesn’t lack anything.

2nd book in the series. I love the realistic story. action, thrill, and drama with normal everyday stuff. The stress of balancing a career, family, and marriage.

Enjoying this series...

I was delighted to see Save Her land into my Audible account. Chris Patchell did a great job at keeping me captivated. I really enjoyed the idea of this ex couple heading to a party together when they get in an argument and he drops her off in the middle of the night, in a winter storm, deep in the woods without a soul around, and still miles from their destination. You’d think no one in their right mind would just drop off a single woman in the middle of the night in the woods for her to fend for herself. What happens with Audrey when Jake speeds off upset and angry with everything? Lacey is on the case and she’s determined to find Audrey.

I really enjoyed Chris Patchell’s story and writing. Save Her was a bit on the shorter side but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in action and suspense. I happened to enjoy this book more than the first in the series. Lacey is enjoying some downtime in the mountains with her husband. They are taking some time and working on their relationship. The narrator for Save Her, Cassandra Medcalf, did a fabulous job. She’s an excellent narrator and really brings Lacey to life.

Book 2!!

Book 2 was great! I actually think it may be better than the first book. But I was kind of hard to tell as it's been a few months since I read the first one and while I remember it, I think this one is definitely going to be more memorable. It was a great little story. I got it done in pretty much a day. But I do listen at a faster speed than some. I think the narrator did a fantastic job with this one. I really got a sense of the different characters just by listening to their voices. Overall, I'm very pleased with this series. I also think that this could have been read as a standalone book. Reading it in order def helps but it not necessary to enjoy the story. I can't wait to start number 3!

A missing woman among a harrowing snow storm

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest. Narrated exceptionally by Cass Medcalf, helms the poignantly explosive sequel to Find Her. It was suppose to be a fun party, high school friends connecting once more; but for Audrey the moment she's abandoned among the snowy woods along way to the party; a seemingly kind strange desires to help. From that moment and onward, Audrey finds herself in a ever sinking desperation as she escapes a strangers sick desires to be plunged into the silent, frozen world, with every step a struggle and she wants to just give up but a fiery determination takes over to keep her fighting. A harrowing chase ensue as officer Lacey James and her husband Caleb race to find her before nature or a madman find Audrey first all the while confronting their crumbling marriage. Another gritty, captivating yarn by the author, highly recommended.

A shorter listen

This is the second book/first series I've listened to by Chris Patchell. I thought the first book was short, but this one is shorter. It's a great length for when you need a few hours to pass quickly though. SAVE HER can be a standalone, but you get more from listening to the first book as well. It had a greater mystery that I throughly enjoyed! The writing, storyline and characters continued to be well written. I'll admit that I restarted it to take notes on all the characters thrown out at first, but it wasn't necessary. There wasn't a huge mystery in this one, but the suspense as how it all resolves was intense. As a hopeless romantic, the relationship between Lacy and Caleb is killing me. Again, I love the double meaning behind the title. I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Cassandra Medcalf is an excellent narrator. Her performance for both male and female voices were well done, smooth and emotional.
