About this listen

A father travels to the future to team up with himself and change the past in this thrilling sci-fi sequel from the bestselling author of Sol Saga.

Andrew Frost doesn't have time to relax. Having defeated an enigmatic killer and made a massive sacrifice to protect his family, he now has an even bigger problem on his hands. It seems his daughter's mere existence could bring about the collapse of the universe. So, on the advice of Tim, his super-intelligent canine AI companion, Andrew decides to travel forward in time to get some help from someone who should know exactly what to do: himself.

After journeying through the wormhole, Andrew and Tim arrive in a strange world where the rich inhabit towering skyscrapers in vast metropolises while the poor live in squalor in crumbling ruins walled off from the wealthy. Future Andrew is (not unexpectedly) pissed to see his younger self—and he's mysteriously strong for his own advanced age.

Whether they want to or not, Andrew and Tim will have to work with their alternate selves to find out how to stop the destruction of the universe. But they'll also need to watch their backs. Because a deadly enemy has returned, poised to wipe out any Andrew from any timeline . . .

Another hit from Hunter Blain

I always worry that when authors write other series from the original (for me) that I've listened to; like it would be the same type of protagonist with a different name and/or lives in a different city. But even with Luke Daniels narrating, the story was rather different. I enjoyed the reference from PC such as Tim (still a dog, kind of)! Can't wait for the next story!

Heart-wrenching Triumph

I'm not crying, you are crying. Other than the emotional abuse suffered upon us by this magnificent author and delivered to us by an equally magnificent narrator, the story has so many twists and turns that your body is unapologetically captured into the story. Absolutely loved it! Andrew Frost's character development is awe-inspiring.

Hunter & Luke Do It Again

Just when you thought 1 issue/s was solved..another springs up to continue on the story in the series. I must applaud Hunter for turning around a story that started off on brutal in your face levels in book 1 to something a little more to the readers liking towards the end of book 2. I look forward to where Book 3 & beyond take us in the adventures/exploits? Of Tim & Andrew

Amazing

Only Hunter Blain can weave a story so intricate, smart, and thrilling and only Luke Daniels can bring it all to life! This story has everything. Non stop action but at the heart of it all is a father and husband just trying to save his family. This would make an awesome movie. Can’t wait for the next installment

Hunter always delivers

This was a good read. Or listen as it were. Also, Luke daniels is ,…as allllllllways…..one of the best narrators in the biz.

Great story, even better story telling

If I am on the fence about purchasing an e-book, and then I see that Luke Daniels is reading it, I instantly buy it

I struggled with this book.

Normally I could power through audio books with no problem. I often complete 24 hour books in about a week's time. it took me 5 week's to finish this mess. I could only listen to 20 minutes at a time. Most of it was cringed and the author over used daddiity too much. Like yeah, we get it, fake Allison trying to trick Andrew. The story got sloppy and did a piss poor job explaining why the A.I was working against it's own interest by telling the Clockmen where to go to stop Andrew while wanting Andrew to complete his mission. The author didn't even explain how the A.I was communicating with them. Like would they go back to it's time lone, get an email, and back in the worm hole? How did the Clock men lock down the wormhole? It doesn't matter because Andrew can slip into the 4th dimension and go anywhere he wants if it's within his life span. How did the A.I track Andrew when he didn't have the marble or use the Wormhole? Like does the A.I have an always on multi dimension, multi time line open connection to Tim? If the original Andrew deleted his family, shouldn't that have fixed the timeline? The A.I gets crushes and suddenly Tim feels free while still withholding information and blaming everything on the rogue A.I. This book was bull, giving it a 2.75 and I won't buy book 3.
