What is up with the narration?

I’m no stranger to Lucy Rivers; I’ve really enjoyed some of her other performances, but this sounded like an AI version of her. Odd cadences, pauses in weird places, and a whiny, unnecessarily dramatic tone throughout the story which ultimately grated on the nerves. Honestly, Sean Masters gives a passable FMC voice- I would’ve preferred the whole book being read just by him.

The story itself was funny, if not a bit predictable. The spice was well written and appropriately spaced. I appreciate not hearing gratuitous F bombs every other word- the dialogue was decent, though sometimes redundant.

Funny and cute

This was very good. If you like comedy, romance, and don’t mind a little bit of stalking. Then definitely a good book choice

Rich Girl Meets Biker Boy

The banter and spice between Rebel (aka Regan) and Rook had me laughing and rooting for them. The side characters added to the humor. I just don't understand how loyal Rebel was to her dad and why she didn't ask more about his health.

I’m all in for more of their escapades!

And let’s not forget the audiobook magic! With the enchanting voices of Lucy Rivers and Sean Masters, it’s like hopping on a whimsical rollercoaster with every narrated word!

the whitty banter

If you like dark romance with a lot of banter and a good plot this is it!!! I was giggling and squealing the whole time!

Loved the banter, amazing story and narrators were awesome! Definitely a 5 ⭐️🌟🌠 story!

The humor

Love the dark humor and the dynamic between Rook and Regan. Sometimes it’s a bit cringy but so weirdly relatable. I too will be pretty boring to stalk and love true crime.

Banter

The audio bumped this up to a 4 for me.

I really enjoyed the banter throughout this book. There were parts when you could tell Regan was truly sheltered. She wouldn't believe stuff right in front of her face.

Rook is a morally grey golden retriever of a man! He is so freaking protective of what is his.

Rebel is the rich girl who is just trying to make her father proud of her so she can take over the family business. She is definitely more than what she seems on the surface and I love that about her.

There were a few "Omg" moments which were amazing and there is NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP!!!! I can't stand those 🤣😅

The spice is VERY nice, and that wrench scene...ummm OKAAAAY! 😅

All in all, this Ebook and audio were phenomenal and I'm so glad and honored to have been able to read and review them for Kate 🩷🖤 Run Rebel Run! 🏃‍♀️
