That was until a girl from his past shows up, and she’s glowed up. Savannah was always cute before, but now she’s got white hair and eyes, as befit the order. She’s also gotten more adept at using her powers.

Turns out, there are only so many orks you can bar-room brawl with before you’ve got to do it on a galactic scale.

And besides, Harlen needs to find out the origins of the mysterious pendant given to him by his dead parents. It’s not like it won’t be connected to his grand quest of saving his dusty sand-covered home, right?

surprisingly well done. I really liked this book, and I cant wait for book 2 so I can learn more.

2nd time's a charm.

After listening to the first two chapters I was disappointed. So down it went to the bottom of the list. After a few months I gave it another try and I'm glad I did. I've listened to the story 2.5 times now. It's entertaining and takes you away and out of your head for a bit. Which is kinda cool and relaxing before bedtime.

Ready for book 2

OK so we've got a space cowboy MC who has escaped from a cult when he was young to become a bounty hunter on a nowhere planet. We've got a lovely older barmaid who honestly appears to be more the bar owner. We've got the old crush who comes off as more of a monk than a cultus. And then we've got a lovely half orc half human lady warrior. The book is well written and well performed. Now, for me personally after having read the blurb and then actually listening to the audio book it was definitely different than what I expected. I'm about 50/50 when it comes to surprises, but I'm happy to say that this book was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the story and after the last 2 chapters I’m really looking forward to book 2. I recommend this story to anybody who reads my review and I hope that if you take the time to check it out you enjoy it as much as I have.

This is a great start to what I hope is gonna be a great series I mean gunslinger spaceships and beautiful women what else do you need oh of course magic

Great freaking book.

This was a good one. I did however get lost about an hour into it, I started over because I didn’t know what the hell was going on. The narrator was on point. I normally prefer male and female for each role but Sierra makes this work great.

Good story

I'm hopeful that this story continues. I really enjoyed yhe characters and their development. I love a good gun slinger story. I imagine the MC as a young Clint Eastwood in space.

great world building and character development. I enjoyed all but Dom/Sub scenes. not only did they seemed forced but out of character for them all. the narration was great.

I think the story was well made and look forward to any sequels. it's a nice listen if you have the time and a credit burning a hole in your pocket
