Publisher's summary

[Last time in Multiverse Z!] Overpowered adventurer versus overpowered dungeon.

Despite the heavy gold bounty on his head, Joey's on the war path to greatness and rising like a star. He has millions of livestream viewers watching him solo an entire dungeon during an apocalypse where the multiverse system integrates whole universes and initiates countless humans to its game-like realms of limitless magic.

No problem with Joey. He has skill upgrade attachments to work on. His shadow, necromancy, and dragon magic are growing stronger. There's high-level loot to snatch from slain dungeon bosses. And a cultivation core to develop. Oh, yeah, that's a thing.

Joey unlocks a big multiverse secret for a second magic system that works with his great adventurer profile—the cultivation of fate. That's two magic systems for the price of one Shade Dragon Rogue.

And he's got a friendly mentor to help him, too. Good guy. Loves to cook, teach nerdy magic stuff, and stop time with a snap of his fingers. That's a very powerful and mysterious mentor to have, alright.

This is where the Rogue Ascension series remixes inspirations from He Who Fights With Monsters, Dungeon Crawler Carl, and Primal Hunter. Listen now to enjoy this Apocalypse Isekai with a strong Progression LitRPG and Cultivation System.

Great but...

I was expecting the dungeon part to wrap up in the first couple hours and yet it got the whole book. the greatness of this series is the detail to conversations and the journey but this book spent to much time in the dungeon especially when the previous book had him in the dungeon for half the book.

Great book

I can’t wait for the next book series. I believe there’s two more books already out but audible hasn’t picked them up yet from what I can see. Please hurry up!

Action packed!

Great continuation of an awesome story. left off at a crazy cliff hanger that left me salivating for the next book. very little errors in the narration but enough that I noticed.

Fun story

Way too much rambling. Just goes on and on with pointless details and repeated information.

I love the story but......

I feel like the author is milking every situation to gain pages instead of telling a story. yes detailed story telling is great, but 2 books to cover a dungeon and it's not even part of the main story arc set in the first book. at this pace is gonna be book give before the 13 day timer is up and book 7 by the time they start to fight the whale. I'm going to give this series one more book, if the story is going to keep moving at this snails PACE, I'm going to give up on this series and I don't want to it's a good series just so damn slow.

Done

The narrator makes this already bad series even more of a drag.
I’ve never had to push my play speed up to 1.25x until this story line.

What’s with the pacing?

Ok so these books have such potential but for whatever reason the author is terrible at pacing. A book and a Half to clear a dungeon that’s not even the main part of the story is just too much. Might just put the series on hold until there’s a few books out to make the pacing somewhat more enjoyable for myself. I also found myself jumping seconds ahead to get past repeated skill descriptions every time one is used.
