An effective and practical program based on the Paleo lifestyle, customized to fit your needs! As the Paleo movement sweeps the nation, the health benefits of following the lifestyle of our hunter-gatherer forebears are undeniable. But what happens when we hit a wall and weight loss stalls, energy flags, or we're tired of restricted eating? We're not cavemen anymore, so why should we follow a strict caveman diet? In Your Personal Paleo Code, Chris Kresser uses the Paleo diet as a baseline from which you can tailor the ideal three-step program - Reset, Rebuild, Revive - to fit your lifestyle, body type, genetic blueprint, and individual needs.

Publisher's summary
Prenatal nutrition can be confusing. A lot of the advice you have been given about what to eat (or what not to eat) is well-meaning, but frankly, outdated or not evidenced-based. In Real Food for Pregnancy, you will get clear answers on what to eat and why, with research to back up every recommendation.
Author and specialist in prenatal nutrition Lily Nichols, RDN, CDE has taken a long and hard look at the science and discovered a wide gap between current prenatal nutrition recommendations and what foods are required for optimal health in pregnancy and for your baby's development. There has never been a more comprehensive and well-referenced resource on prenatal nutrition. With Real Food for Pregnancy as your guide, you can be confident your food and lifestyle choices support a smooth, healthy pregnancy.

This should be required reading!
I am currently studying functional medicine/nutrition, and this book perfectly summarizes the main points everyone should be familiar with in order to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy diet/lifestyle in general. I really appreciated the author's thoroughness (and in some cases, bravery) with everything she included. I'll be re-reading it soon and recommending it to everyone I know!

The science is there! I've been eating this way for almost 6 years and through my 2nd wnd 3rd pregnancies which were amazing! No swelling or fatigue. Now pregnant with my 4th, I'm listening to the book. This is literally the best information out there and will contribute to a most enjoyable pregnancy and labor.
You can watch Lily on YouTube with Dr. Ken Berry. It's a great interview. They 100% know what they're talking about.

Lifesaver
I am so thankful this book was recommended to me in my first trimester by a friend that was a new mom. I feel armed with knowledge to care not only for my baby but myself throughout this process.

Essential read!!
I read this book twice while pregnant with my first daughter during Covid; adjusting my diet as I learned. My experience was that, with all these important nutrients drenching my system, I almost never had strange food cravings, almost no nausea, felt very vibrant, and had no other worrisome conditions…& that’s after 5 miscarriages & 9 years of trying. My baby was and is physically and mentally strong.
I appreciate this book more than I can say and I recommend it to people often!
