About this listen

Magic, Mischief, and Kilts!

A modern-day Scottish warlock paranormal romance by New York Times best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow.

Kenneth doesn’t have room for anything in his life beyond his responsibilities as an immortal warlock and a father. Being a single dad is difficult, especially when that toddler is more powerful than his entire magickal family combined. Standing against forces who want nothing more than to harness his daughter’s power takes focus, dedication, and the willingness to put his life on hold. So when the mysterious yet beautiful Andrea appears on his doorstep, he can’t help but distrust her.

For two years, Andrea Breaux has been running from a dangerous supernatural force. She’s learned to stay on the move, to never allow grass to grow under her feet, and to be suspicious of everyone and everything. When she finds herself in a house surrounded by magicks and a powerful child who would rather she not leave, Andrea isn’t sure what to do or if she even wants to go. But staying puts everyone at risk, especially the Scottish hottie in a kilt, Kenneth MacGregor.

Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love. And Uncle Raibeart.

Magick and Mischief

This is Kenneth and Andrea's story. Kenneth MacGregor is a warlock who is back with the Macgregor warlock clan along with his daughter Jewel who is a phoenix. Jewel had undergone a rebirth in the last installment of this series so she was a toddler again. Andrea is a human with some limited magical experience gained mainly through her grandmother. Andrea has been on the run due to a "spirit" who is chasing her who she believes is trying to kill her. When she ends up in Green Vallis Wisconsin at the "hotel" she is magically transported through a portal to the MacGregor home. There the adventure ensues. What with Kenneth being forced to stay in the house and Andrea being roped into a nanny job for Jewel they can't help their close vicinity. What pranks and mischief will the MacGregors and Jewel be up too and can the spirit following Andrea be contained? Will Kenneth and Andrea finally get their HEA? Check this story out to see.

Kenneth and Andrea

Michelle has outdone herself with this fabulous addition to the world of the Warlocks MacGregor Series. I just love visiting these hilarious characters who now feel like friends I have grown to love.

We learn more about the mysterious long-lost MacGregor brother who reappeared in the last book, along with his adorable daughter. I have said many times that I love Railbeart, but is he the one to be trusted to help keep his niece grounded? I know he loves his little Princess but he does spoil her and I certainly wouldn't trust him to take storytime!

Andrea is an interesting character and is the perfect person to help Kenneth and his daughter but everyone has their hands full!

This book has romance, action, and fantasy it is somewhat emotional at times as well as incredibly funny. The plot is great and the storyline is well-paced, and of course, there's a happily ever after.

There is so much more I could say but that would involve spoilers which I don't want to give, but what I will say is this book is my personal favourite.

The narration of this book is wonderfully well done Michael Ferraiuolo is the perfect choice for this series.

Kenneth and Andrea’s HEA

Kenneth has his hands full with his daughter who is a magical phoenix. Andrea just wants to escape from the supernatural force that is haunting her. All this combines to bring a fun and steamy story to life with the MacGregor clan!.

Can't get enough of this crazy family!

Magick & Mischief is Kenneth's story. Missing for years, he is back now with his family and just trying to raise is daughter. The intrigue and danger is definitely growing, but this crazy family still keeps the laughs coming! I can't wait for more!!!

Kenneth and Andrea

Book 7 of the series, telling Kenneth and Andrea’s story. I love how the characters who starred in previous books continue in the rest of the series. I recommend reading the books in order of the series, however they would still be enjoyable as a stand alone. I love this series! It is well written, good characters, and quickly draws you in. I found this story to be engaging, funny at times, and a “page turner”. I like that the strongest magical being is a young child who does not know her own strength. I can just imagine trying to parent this magical child, within this large and fully involved family. Romance and chemical attraction is in the air. The narration was very well done. Phoenix part 2

Jewell's story continues as the family continues to adjust to the newest member. Overbearing parents and pranks maintain the plot's comedic relief. I recommend reading in order.

Andrea's Arrival . . .

This book has everything you might want in a book by this author: romance, danger, surprise, suspense, and humor. Kenneth MacGregor is an immortal warlock and single dad whose daughter Jewel is extremely powerful. When Andrea Breaux, running from an evil force, shows up at the door, she is mistaken for the nanny. Is there a special reason Andrea has been brought to their door? Why does she feel so familiar? Why does Jewel want her to stay? You will find the “reading” experience is made even better by the skillful narrator of the audiobook version, Michael Ferraiulo. He does a great job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.
