Humanity has survived, and the Knights will stride into the waste to find it.
During his first few months as a Knight, Erec defeated one of the greatest threats to the Kingdom of Cindrus in years. The White Stag, all thanks to VAL and his power of Fury. But no good deed goes unpunished; he now is a ranking noble, which comes with the responsibility of leading the people beneath him.
Yet, even as the new demands of his station press on him, the wasteland calls once more. They are not alone. And there are plans to launch an ambitious expedition into the wasteland to discover the remains of humanity. It might be Erec's best chance to find out what happened to his mother after she tore apart their family and fled the Kingdom with a monster so many years ago.

Fantastic second installment
This follow up to book one was nothing short of OUTSTANDING! The PLOT thickens, we see further behind the curtains into the shadows of the powers that be and Eric's growing role in their machinations.
the narrator is so freaking good at the characters, and communicating the emotions involved.
