Of Course the Book is Excellent!

where can I complain that Audible messed up with the numbering of the books and chapters? The Bible should be labeled by it's proper Books and Chapters, not Ch. 1-1010., etc. Absolutely, irritating!!

The Bible Experience

I highly recommend this audiobook book. It’s AMAZING!

The only cons for me:

1. It doesn’t indicate the books of the Bible in the chapter list. But, I marked down the New Testament books; as I listened to them. So, I’m sharing that list in my review. Someone posted a review on Amazon and shared the Old Testament books by chapter. So, I use their list for the Old Testament. This is very helpful, when you want to listen to a specific book of the Bible.

2. In some of the New Testament books, gospel songs just randomly start playing, in the middle of Bible reading. I found that distracting.

But, that doesn’t take away from my overall thoughts of this audiobook of the Bible. It’s truly amazing!

Love it just wish it was broken down by the actual Books so I can go directly to Psalms or the Gospels...other than that it's great!

Monumental Achievement!

I purchased the "Inspired by" CD audio Bible years ago and I was so elated to be able to get it in Audible. The cast of actors and actresses do a fantastic job of conveying the emotion of the text. I used this bible when I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 to 2010. I'd listen to the books of the bible nearly every night after working 12 hour shifts loading aircraft, often falling asleep while listening. Sometimes I'd dream the stories! Very comforting and informative, especially considering we were most likely to be attacked with rockets under the cover of darkness. We didn't know if we'd wake up the next day.

I'd recommend this book to anyone that enjoys the bible stories brought to life by outstanding actors and actresses; the sound effects perfectly round out the experience!

Missing Books

Overall the readings are great. The stories keep you on edge as if you are there. I love listening. The only issue is that it is missing books...in the New Testament...Acts is missing, 1st and 2nd Corinthians...Revelations and so on. If you would please add those...all will be well.

wonderfully ethnically diverse cast and good reading

I didn't like that there are songs between chapters in a book because it's a little disruptive to to Bible scripture reading. They should play songs in between books and not in the middle of them.

The Bible itself is flawless...

Overall, most of the presentation and recording were well done, featuring ambient background sounds. The Audible app itself is good and there are almost no problems ('End of Chapter' timer is off unfortunately) and the chapters all are labeled accurately. Thanks.

A generally accurate biblical cast... Finally!!!!

I have a very great contention against the notion that the producers thought to give The Most High God a "new" voice in the so-called "New Testament", as well as the universalist adornments that are peppered into the ethnocentric work that the bible in its correct context, actually is. The volume of these manuscripts are one work with one author. I thought this choice was rather disrespectful and schizophrenic. This glaring grievance aside I do, however, thoroughly appreciate for the most part the casting, the general quality and temperament of the performances and the production values of pretty much everything else.
