Love listening to the OT
If you could sum up The Word of Promise Audio Bible Old Testament NKJV in three words, what would they be?
Enlightening, Confusing, Surprising
Who was your favorite character and why?
God of course
Did the narrator do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes all but Richard Dryfus who played Moses. I doubt he even read the text before he read it. He was very unbelievable and boring, unfortunatly Moses has a lot to say. I understand the producers wanted a big name to help get attention but Richard Dryfuss was not a good choice at all.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Don't think that is possible its too big and too many hours.

Try It.
I recommend this version of the Bible to everyone. It is an awesome way to spend more time in the scriptures. I listen to it everyday. It is a great addition to my Bible Study library.

You will love this!
No matter how many times you read the Holy Scriptures, you will always learn something new. Listening to this, the Old Testament comes alive in your mind's eye! It is very well done and I recommend to anyone who is wanting to learn more about the Bible. You will not be disappointed!

Hard to know where you are at.
it would be good to have markers like Isaiah cpt 23 instead of a continuous listing of chat numbers. I have no idea what chat in the Bible is 634. if I want to listen to a certain chpt say one in Ps I have to figure out what where it falls in the continuous numbering.

I Love It!!!
I have read the Bible numorous times but hearing acted out and coming to life is the greatest thing since sliced bread. 😄👍I will be listening to this over an over for a number of years. It ls also my favorite translation to read along to wiith my bible. I have been readiing the NKJV for years

Addictive!
I've completed the first two parts, and am enthralled. At first, the pace seemed plodding. I tried speeding it up, but it was a bit distorted. However, after an hour or so, I was happily engrossed in the production. I wasn't sure if I would like having music and background dramatization effects, but am loving it. I've been a Bible reader all my life. It's easy to forget that the histories of the OT involved real people living these events in real time. The dramatic effects in this production have reminded me of that fact.
The production quality is excellent. The background effects do not drown out the reading. Rather, they enhance it.
