Before we deal with the question of how to be filled with the Holy Spirit, there are some matters which first have to be settled. As believers, you have to get them out of the way, and right here is where the difficulty arises. I have been afraid that my listeners might have gotten the idea somewhere that I had a how-to-be-filled-with-the-Spirit-in-five-easy-lessons doctrine, which I could give you. If you can have any such vague ideas as that, I can only stand before you and say, “I am sorry” because it isn’t true. I can’t give you such a course. There are some things, I say, that you have to get out of the way, settled.

Inspiring

I was convicted and inspired listening to this wonderful book. The narrator held my attention and I felt as though I was being preached to. Well done.

A good sermon

I thoroughly enjoyed this book by A.W. Tozer. This is a wonderfully reminder to those that have been in church for years. It is also a wonderful starting point for those beginning their Christian journey.

Given in the premise of a four part sermon, Tozer outlines beautifully how to live and be filled with the holy spirit. Though this works was written originally in the 1960s, it's subject resonates with today's societally pressures. It is a quick listen but one I would highly recommend to all.

A Timeless Classic

I'll never forget when I first discovered AW Tozer. My mind was blown as, for the first time in my life, I finally understood the third member of the Holy Trinity. Tozer was my first teacher after my lucid dreams led me home to Christ and I began educating myself in the faith. I'm a Catholic, but there will always be a special place in my heart for this great Evangelical man of God. A Christian is a Christian. The narrator fills his performance with just the right eloquent fervor. I highly recommend this little, huge, audio treasure.

Great Sermon for Those Still Seeking

This hour long sermon is a great listen for individuals on the Christian path who need a greater push for religiosity, or for seekers who need to better understand the role of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The narration of this sermon was wonderful! I did find myself wondering throughout the sermon, what issues Tozer was facing when preaching - as there were clearly several issues he was driving at that aren't issues in my current Christian context (i.e. there seemed to be a group in his context which believed that the Holy Spirit was only given to the 1st Century church, and that Christians today no longer needed spiritual rebirth, but that the first century pouring out of the Spirit was sufficient for them). Nevertheless, this sermon is a great introduction to the topic.For anyone looking for a deeper study of the topic of the Holy Spirit, I also suggest Sinclair Ferguson's, "Who is the Holy Spirit," which is a fabulous, five hour listen on Audible - narrated by Ferguson himself.
