A Godsend

I have struggled to pray aright for too long. These wise words from Dr.Packer amazingly accurately analyzed and diagnosed my trouble. In sum I had forgotten the character and position of the One to Whom I was praying, and likewise forgotten who and what I the prayer truly am in my heart/mind/soul. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving us the great puritan teacher J.I. Packer!

The content was excellent but contains only TWO chapters from the book. Did not find any disclosure advising this was not the whole book.

Short, But Worthy

This is my first experience with J. I. Packer, but I found his words both enlightening and thought provoking. His down to earth style and heartfelt words are a balm to those struggling to pray rightly.

Disappointed I paid for this and it's only the first two chapters and the entire audio book isn't on audible.

Buyer beware: abridged version

I was so disappointed to learn that I bought only two chapters of this wonderful book and not the whole book. My bad for not reading the reviews first, then I would have seen that it only covered two chapters. Audible should have put a disclaimer under the title stating that fact, but they did not. While the two chapters covered are excellent, and the reader is engaging, I am so disappointed that I wasted a credit on an abridged title.

Abridged, Heck

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I love the book that I have, but I am ill and was hoping to be able to listen to most of it. It is the first two chapters and that is it. Come on.

Has Praying turned you off from other books in this genre?

No! Packer is great. audible has turned me off from ordering any more books. Come on!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Praying

This was not what I expected, didn't fulfill my need or increase my understanding of prayer. Didn't like the voice of the reader. Boring, felt lost on what was being read and discussed. Don't believe I will order another audio book. Thought this would be similar to the audio reading of the Bible. Big disappointment. 😒😓Me Anne

ONLY FIRST 2 CHAPTERS...

Really disappointing. Didn't see anything stating it was only the first 2 chapters. I wish there was a return policy for occasions such as these. I love this book, but I love the WHOLE book, not just a sample.
