We were created in the image of God, and to understand who we are, we need to understand who God is. His very character and nature are reflected through us. Unless we fully grasp who we are, we'll never become all God wants us to be.

Delighting in God is the message Tozer intended to be the follow-up to The Knowledge of the Holy. He demonstrates how the attributes of God - those things God has revealed about himself - are a way to understand the Christian life of worship and service. We are here to serve and adore him, but we can fulfill that role only by acknowledging who he is, which is the essence of the Christian life and the source of all our fulfillment, joy, and comfort.

The book discusses church, culture, and life with God at the center. Rather than hearing a lecture, you'll listen to an old Christian sharing the love of his heart.

Day of Old Yet Delightful

No matter how old this book is and monotone the voice of Grover Gardner is, I learned a lot about God, scripture, love and faithfulness with and for God. In addition, my walk and journey here on earth.

I think this is a must read for every Christian

I think this is a timely read nowadays because the Church ihas misplaced it's focus from God to the benefits of God, i.e. what can I get out of the Church rather than what can I do think show my love God in the Church.

Powerful explanation of God

A. W. Towzer captures certain truths about God in such a easy to understand manner which stirs up the spirit of man about God.

Delighting in God

right to the heart of who God is! His words, though written in the 1950's, are so applicable for today.

For me, almost as good as The Knowledge of the Holy.

Started a little slow for me, but a very thought-provoking book. I found the knowledge of the holy, which I read just before this, an incredibly written book. There was a little bit of repetition with this one, expounding on the previous ideas, but overall, there was enough that was new that I think it's worth the read. I got the most out of the last several chapters.

I really loved this book and I learned so much from it. I would listen to it again.

toes are never worries about stepping on our toes, but he leads us into a true life Everlasting, right into the Arms of Jesus. If you listen to him, and heed his words, and thirst and hunger for God more than anything else, you will succeed. Let the author lead you directly to the word of God.

Chock full of challenging truth

Chock full of challenging truth that confronts your soul with its present spiritual state and provokes you upward towards greater heights.

A much needed listen in our current state

oh that men would seek after GOD and find all they need in Him! So much folly and error in the world today and yet the Church sets lukewarm and delighting in entertainment rather than delighting in GOD. This book is helpful and just as relevant as the day it was penned.
