Authentic | Personal | Priceless

First, thank you for writing this book. Even though I rarely write reviews after listening to, or reading a book, I felt compelled to express my appreciation, and to tell you how relevant the material subjects of your book are.

I am definitely adding this to one of a few books that I read multiples every year.

Its a joy to give some time and space to be creative.
Creativity = connection to divine

It did remind me of Zig Zag, a creativity book with exercise and some fun card games!

Interesting! with some bumps in the road

Oddly I felt that listening at 1.4+ speed helped the narration immensely!!
There are some interesting stories here but almost no original reporting. Most info is lifted from the books/biographies of other authors.
The parts about the author herself lack a little reflection, she talks about her creativity as a reason for success but each story about her building her business is based in having a helpful connection goop/banksy/her first sale to a collector in Paris.

I don’t see the connection between creativity and success but rather it makes me feel I need to grow my network (which is also good advice!)

If you’re interested in learning about important artists there is definitely good info here

Painful

I came to this book with high hopes, but there’s no meat here. This book is not for artist, and the author clearly isn’t artist either, nor this books teaches how to make real business.
I first saw an interview with the author, where I thought she was just blá-blá-blá to not give the “gold” of the book, so that people would buy the book. But the book it’s also just bla bla bla, going superficially around some topics. She speaks for hours but the book could be read in 10 minutes if it wasn’t the stories of other people. Maybe the book is so shallow so the person pay for her program? Maybe. Before the book I was considering of buying her program, but now, no.
It just tells short stories of some artists that got famous. I feel that she read some history of arts books and reap some paragraphs…
And is absolutely annoying the way she speaks “creativity” and soooo repetitive, I almost gave up of the book because of this, more than once. It was painful. I can never speak this word again without listening her in my head, and not in a good way. English isn’t my first language either, but is just painful to hear. The worst is the “creativity” that she reaps twice every minute of the audiobook. The editor of the book should have had fixed this issue.
In the end, the message that this book gives is: you don’t need to be creative, you just need to have rich friends, maybe a ex job in some huge company, so you can have more rich friends, and then convince them to buy your stuff and boom, you have a career in anything you want. The rest you can look on google…
