A little over four months has passed since Desmond McLaughlin was physically yanked from his home and thrown to the mercy of a conquering alien empire when they demanded he be handed over for training as he was an ‘Adept’, one of the few able to harness the power of magic in the universe.

the story continues...
Book two is a great continuation of book one. The characters are well done and slot into the story with no problems. The narration is even better this time and I will be getting the third book when it comes out.

Another great installment!
just when I thought things couldn't get any better with the previous book along comes the second one. a great addition to an expanding universe and I do hope there are many more to come!

amazing story
the author did extremely well with the characters and the reactions to each other there's just so many characters in the story that are memorable and hilarious that it's hard to put the book down let alone audio. narrator is dead extremely well with all the different voices specially being that there's aliens and humans and a lot of females. can't wait for the rest of the series to be on audio

Good second book, and looking forward to more!
I had actually started reading book two once I was done with book one and wanted more as fast as I could. Imagine my surprise when the second book came out so fast! I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm going on to start reading book 3 once I'm done with this and hope it will happen again!
Great voice work, great pacing, great story and world building....ITS JUST GREAT OK?!
