To summarize it all, if you want a healthy, long, energetic, and disease-free life, you need to start fasting. The earlier you try this, the better off you are going to be. In today’s world, if you go against convention, you can almost guarantee health and longevity. It is the opposite of how it should be. Doctors are supposed to help us get better and not make us drug-addicted health disasters.

Health starts with trusting the body to do its job of healing and repairing. You must let go of your regular diet to let the body rest and get better. The best healing happens when there is no food in the stomach. That is why fasting has been a centuries-long cure to various diseases.

It has been drilled into our brains that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That is just not true. The most important meal is the one that causes the least amount of inflammation and gives the body necessary nutrients to heal. A fast can be used as a reset to start your health journey all over. It helps reset the gut microbiome imbalance that almost all people have to some degree. You can do intermittent fasts, prolonged fasts, and dry fasts, but the best is a combination of all of them. Gut health is the root cause of almost all chronic illnesses. It will usually have some relation to every kind of disease. It is like the second brain, and the microbiome is like a creature in itself.

Gut health is the direct root cause for all autoimmune conditions like psoriasis and eczema. It has been linked with the world’s biggest killers, heart disease and cancer. A leaky gut or an “intestine with holes” is what starts the downfall. Toxic chemicals leak out into the bloodstream and cause havoc everywhere.

When you are doing fasting as a gut reset, you should avoid liquid fasts. You can do 18-to-24-hour fasts every day for a week and follow that with keto for some days to get better results. When you try out fasting for some time, it is unlikely that you will want to stop ever. You can do intermittent fasting for life. It can be done three to four times a week. Prolonged fasts can be done once a month. Liquid fasts can be done to ease you into the process of fasting. And dry fasts are for pros who want to extract the most value for their effort.

Definitely recommend this to anyone

This audiobook has given me a great idea of how I’d start with water fasting. It seems to be the perfect way to get all the info I’ll need on the days leading up to the fast and during it. After listening to it thoroughly I’ve only gotten more comfortable with the idea. It’s so easy to find the answers to the questions I have! It’s so clear and concise! Definitely recommend this to anyone.

I enjoyed every part of it

I enjoyed every part of it and just discarded the parts that wouldn’t apply to me as I follow a plant-based diet and don’t take chemical prescriptions but only natural medicine.

Have Water for Breakfast

I’ve just finished 1 day fast and it was pretty ok, much better than I thought I would handle it, but I think because I did prepare well 2 weeks prior and even went for long walks during the fasting but of course, I felt quite weak but once breathing fresh air and seeing the amazing sunsets, it boosted me up a bit.

Good job!

I really liked this audible and how clear it was for the everyday person. Not everyone wants to listen to a bunch of scientific studies and really, this has been around for centuries so do we really need new science on this? I also appreciate the way the author pointed out the safest way to water fast and to build up to the longer-term fasting. Good job!

Incredible!

I purchased the audiobook and was delighted to find that it was "over the top" comprehensive regarding any medical concerns. Though I am not worried in the slightest about them nor am I new to fasting.

Really a great audible

I’ve always been interested in mental and physical health, and more recently have become obsessed with it. I’ve been hearing people mentioning fasting more and more lately and decided to look more into it. In doing so, I stubbed across this audible on fasting. Now, I’ve never had an interest in partaking in any type of fasting before. But what I can appreciate about this book the most is its inclusion of actual scientifically based studies and science-based techniques. Really a great audible.

I’m very excited to get started

I learned that the benefits of water and fasting aren’t just a way to lose weight, there are so many more benefits. As a beginner in fasting, the audible really gave me direction on how to start the process and how to stop it. The sample diet menu and case studies are my favorite parts of the book. It’s exciting to read about the journey of others and get a look into what to expect. Now that I know a bit more about fasting, I’m very excited to get started.
