Publisher's summary

"Narrator Rebecca Soler returns for the final installment in the Caraval trilogy... The magic, the fear, the betrayal, and especially the heartbreak are all magnified by her skillful narration. An intense listen that is hard to pause." — AudioFile Magazine, Earphones Award winner

Welcome, welcome to
Finale, the third and final audiobook in Stephanie Garber’s #1 New York Times bestselling Caraval series!

A love worth fighting for. A dream worth dying for. An ending worth waiting for.

It’s been two months since the Fates were freed from a deck of cards, two months since Legend claimed the throne for his own, and two months since Tella discovered the boy she fell in love with doesn’t really exist.

With lives, empires, and hearts hanging in the balance, Tella must decide if she’s going to trust Legend or a former enemy. After uncovering a secret that upends her life, Scarlett will need to do the impossible. And Legend has a choice to make that will forever change and define him.

Caraval is over, but perhaps the greatest game of all has begun. There are no spectators this time: only those who will win, and those who will lose everything.

Welcome, welcome to Finale. All games must come to an end…

Rushed, yet satisfying.

Well, it’s finished. I honestly liked this one better than the second book, however, I do feel as if the story was rushed. There’s also a lot of mysteries left. Perhaps the new book has a couple of answers, but I am saddened to hear we won’t be following Scarlett or Tella anymore. Anyways, a good ending.

AMO

EL MEJOR DE LOS 3 DIOSMIO
Lo amé de forma exagerada. Demasiado bueno! Da cierre pero deja cosas abiertas para la trilogia que viene dentro del mismo mundo :)

Forever 5 Stars!

This was my second reading (first audio) and it was every bit as magical and lovely as the first time!! Our characters find themselves in one of my very favorite love stories of all literary time!! And in case you’re wondering, the Once Upon a Broken Heart series is JUST as captivating!! I cannot wait for more from Stephanie, until then, I will forever reread these gems. 💜

Interesting up until the end

I admit that I couldn't predict what was going to happen in this story but it really seemed like the author was trying to make something real out of the Prince of hearts then changed her mind. It was an entertaining read overall but I probably my won't listen again since the mystery and tension was 90% of the intrigue.

SPOILERS

Kinda disappointed in Tella. I wish she had been like her mother and made the choice to turn her back on immortals instead of literally just crawl after Legend over and over like a love-sick puppy. She should be been stronger than that. Scarlett, I understood a bit. Tella was supposed to be about more than happy love and instead, the moment she felt her first brush with love, she became pathetic. It was a very sad transformation. I would've preferred her either to have chosen Jacks and demand change from him or just end up alone. The death of her strong character and birth to love-sick girl was so disheartening. They tried to play it off like she was the hero of the story who saved him but she was really just a chick who couldn't stop being obsessed with a guy who broke her heart.

A Conclusion We Can Live With

I don't think I enjoyed the intertwining of Scarlet and Tella's stories as much as I thought I would, but the narrative still holds up and produces a nice conclusion. Lots of twists (some that feel excessive) and surprises, a broad cast of characters, and a small door left open for readers to imagine (or the author to write) the next steps.

rating as an adult for what is a tween/teen series

it was entertaining and a good distraction! which I wanted. on the heavy PG side, which was great, i didn't want anything sexual. just fun. but it gives some good spice and the story is very descriptive for the imagination! so overall, worth it, but there were definitely over dramatic moments that made me roll my eyes lol.
