I sadly couldn’t love it like I wanted to…

First off, the narrator did an amazing job!

Secondly, I liked the story over all, but I really struggled at times to stay with it. I liked it more at the end and am excited to start the next book, but the FMC is not my favorite. I really wanted to love it, but I just couldn’t.

I can't stop thinking about this series!

I immediately picked up Book 2 and binged it in a day!

This series has a Throne of Glass / Fourth Wing vibe and I’m here for it!! Loved it!!

Romance Content: Mild to Medium spice and mild language.

exciting read

oh my word. this was a very well written story with an awesome bada$$ FMC. I am so excited to read book two now, I am beside myself. gotta go, my latest book boyfriend is calling my name.... 😍

Great listen!

This was very entertaining! The narrator did a wonderful job voicing men and women. The one thing that annoyed me about the story was how purposefully dumb the heroine was sometimes— she kept ignoring all the signs and I wanted to shake her! But really, everything else was great and I will definitely listen to book 2.

Well paced romantasy

Well paste, complex characters, and not super predictable like a lot of books in this genre.

Great cliffhanger. I’m hooked!

So many twists and turns! This book kept me guessing. I never saw the cliffhanger coming! This is definitely a must read for fantasy folk.

i love this book it was super amazing and full of things that made me amazed been on a roll with this book on to the next one!!

“Me? I Don’t Have a Problem” — “Oh ok. Denial!”

I enjoyed it more the second time around, and in light of the other books. I figured out the “reveal” less than halfway through the book, so her denials really started to frustrate me. Although I understood the underlying emotion, I wasn’t roped in enough to really feel the righteous anger of the protagonist, so it was hard not to get frustrated with her prejudice at times. All that aside, I still enjoyed it; it kept me engaged better than other authors who are much popular. If you want good dialogue, an intriguing story, and some spice, give this a listen. And you should get the other books while you’re at it.
