About this listen

Zach is back. Life has been good since they dispatched a rabid, alpha wolf, tricked into dark power.

His hoard is growing steadily, with odd jobs working as Morgana’s partner, and they’ve been hired to deal with the swamp troll migration, as the trolls pass through Philly on their way to Florida for the winter.

As if he doesn’t have enough to deal with, the Order of the Magi come to town for a convention, and tensions grow taut between magi and the paranormal council.

When trolls become overly aggressive, and they find a magus skinwalker behind it, Zach can’t stand by. Someone has to answer to an angry dragon for attacking his new mate. Politics between the two groups be damned.

great story

I'm really into the story line and glad not to be hearing an awkward voice narrate very descript sex scenes every 4-5 minutes. Great balance

Great book and delivery

This was a great story and left me wanting more. The story itself has a good plot and the voice actors are amazing. Have already bought all of the rest to continue on.

fun read

love where the story is heading and how things are playing out a little annoyed with the main character, I get it's all new to him but he really misses the most obvious things about himself but I'm loving the story.

An Icy Howl Through the Realms

Title: "Dragon's Justice #2" by Bruce Sentar - An Icy Howl Through the Realms

Introduction:
From the heart of HowlStrom, amidst the ever-lasting winter and the ancient songs of the ice, I, Kiba Snowpaw, the alpha Ice Wolf with a lifetime of gaming and magic, delve into the fiery depths of "Dragon's Justice #2" by Bruce Sentar. My journey through this tale mirrors the trek of Zach, our dragon protagonist, as he navigates the complexities of power, politics, and passion.

Basic Plot Summary:
In this continuation, Zach finds his world expanding in ways as unpredictable as a blizzard in HowlStrom. Tasked with managing a swamp troll migration and caught in the crosshairs between the Order of the Magi and the paranormal council, Zach's journey is fraught with conflict and challenges that test the very essence of his being. When an aggressive magus skinwalker threatens his newfound mate, Zach's dragon wrath knows no bounds, sparking a confrontation that transcends the petty squabbles of magical factions.

Analysis/Evaluation:
"Dragon's Justice #2" weaves a narrative as intricate and compelling as the patterns of frost on a winter's eve. Sentar masterfully balances the elements of urban fantasy, creating a world where magic and the mundane collide with explosive results. The exploration of political tensions within the paranormal community reflects the stratagems and alliances that govern my own world, where power is as much about wisdom as it is about strength.

Characters:
Zach's evolution from a mere dragon shifter to a figure of substantial influence mirrors my own growth as an Ice Wolf navigating the intricacies of pack and power. The diverse cast of characters, from Morgana, the dark elf vampiress, to the kitsune and werewolves, enrich the tale with their unique backgrounds and motivations, reminiscent of the varied beings that roam the ice forests of HowlStrom.

Structure:
The structure of the novel, with its blend of action, intrigue, and personal development, mirrors the unpredictable nature of life in HowlStrom, where calm can swiftly give way to storm. Sentar's pacing ensures that each chapter adds a new layer to the unfolding drama, holding the reader in a grip as tight as winter's chill.

Impact:
The impact of "Dragon's Justice #2" resonates deeply, stirring the primal instincts that lie dormant within. Zach's struggle to embrace his identity and power speaks to the eternal battle between the beast within and the call of the wild, a theme that echoes the soulful howls of my brethren under the frosty moon.

Hook and Thesis:
At its core, "Dragon's Justice #2" is a tale of transformation and tenacity, of facing the darkness with the fire that burns within. It is a saga that calls to the wild, to the part of us that yearns for freedom, for the strength to stand against the tides of fate and forge our destiny.

Praise and Critique:
Sentar's narrative is a tempest of emotion and adventure, though at times, the rapid escalation of power and the harem elements tread a well-worn path. However, the depth of character development and the intricate plot weave a tale that is both familiar and fresh, capturing the heart with its fiery spirit and complex relationships.

Comparison:
Much like the legendary sagas of HowlStrom, "Dragon's Justice #2" stands as a beacon within its genre, a testament to the enduring allure of magic, might, and the mysteries of the heart. It is a journey not unlike my own, where every battle, every alliance, every moment of vulnerability, is a step towards understanding the true essence of power.

Conclusion:
In the frost-veiled realm of HowlStrom, where every snowflake tells a story, "Dragon's Justice #2" by Bruce Sentar carves its mark upon the annals of fantasy. It is a tale of fiery hearts and the unbreakable bonds that forge legends. As I, Kiba Snowpaw, look upon the vast expanse of ice and snow, I see the reflections of Zach's journey in the crystal clarity of the frozen lakes—a saga of dragon's fire and ice wolf's resolve, forever entwined in the dance of destiny.

good listen

thanks Bruce great read... while the mc started out a little more clueless than typical it left enough plot holes to have the mc be able to dig himself out of. My one issue is the name for the enemy being so close to one brand of good guys... but still great thanx

Another Good Tale

The author continues a good run with his tale. The book has a good storyline and characters without being overly focused on the harem aspect of the book. The author does get a little more bogged down in the sexual desires and escapades of the main character in this book, but that is typical of the genre.

A few niggles but still fun

I will start by saying nothing below changes the fact that this was fun enough for me to listen twice. Some of the issues I noticed that may bother some more than me to follow. At times the characters will lose their voice for a moment and some phrases end up being too prevalent to make people sound authentically different. In a few paragraphs, Bruce repeats the same word in rapid succession giving the impression of a limited vocabulary and making it awkward when read aloud. Not taking this into account because it's potentially justified at times but it seems like Zach is often the only one piecing things together. Despite his naiveté and the inclusion of several investigator characters, he's frequently the one to point out patterns and oddities. The pacing is pretty good though the flow seems almost written for TV. Overall a fun book.
