VA change

honestly glad for the VA changes Lewis Alexander's voice in this book hurt my soul

my favorite series hands down

love the concept and genre, has great pacing and character development. I really enjoy that the spicy scenes are limited. I hate when a book will introduce a character and like 2 minutes later it's a spicy scene. this series does a great job at building the relationships. I'm enjoying the new narration especially for Des, Bruce is the best of the genre but I'm definitely bias but he also makes up the bulk of my library.

Glad I finally picked this series up

This is what I always wanted from an academy anime with romance. This has all the desired anime tropes plus steamy scenes. Was also glad that the re-recording is done by Christopher and Jessica, their performances are top notch as always. Another hit by Bruce!

Much much better.

Both female voice performances are amazing either way. I like both of there interpretations. Chris’s voice is just better and he is really good as well. Great to listen to this series again. It’s like a whole new story. 5/5/5 for sure. Thanks!

Great narration and a fun ride

A fun mix of litrpg, dungeon delving, and a fantasy university setting makes for a fun listen and the start of an entertaining series. The characters are fun and the action flows well. Christopher Boucher and Jessica Threat's narration brings all the characters to life and keeps the book entertaining and engrossing. After listening to this one, I have already grabbed the next few books, so I hope it keeps getting better.

Great LitRPG+

I enjoy most of Sentar’s work but this series is my personal favorite. It’s a LitRPG with dungeon crawling, stat sheets that aren’t overwhelming and adult relationships that aren’t forced. Sentar does a great job of world building as well as slowly building/developing the relationships. I particularly liked how the Sentar created a fantasy-esque setting in a modern world, and for the most part does a good job explaining how the two things coexist. Sentar builds anticipation in a careful way, whether about the story, the combat, or the sex. It's all very well developed and makes the story and characters much better and more believable.

Excellent

The book was already great, and the previous voice actors were definitely good, but the new recording with new VAs is fantastic. Jessica Threet is great in everything she does.

New VAs

listened to the newest book in the series DD203 and was very disappointed with the change in narrators. decided to repurchase this volume and start from the beginning to see if I could get past it and......I just can't. the change killed all the hype I had for the new book, I enjoy the story but the performance that made me fall in love with the series isn't going forward and it's hard to stomach. please let us keep our original copies of the audiobooks. If the old books get completely overwritten and I'm giving the new books instead I will seek a refund because it isn't the product I purchased anymore. Bring back Alexander/Rader!!

Review after the VA Bait and Switch

So this series has just been re-released with new VA's, great VA for sure but, the fanbase has already had 6 books with the previous VA. While some voices are better overall such as Desmonda, many amazing voices that brought levity to the story now bring no humor. Example would be the character Grandpa went from a high energy women crazed pervert to ArchMagu Finius from Dragons Justice, and Harley went from a super bubbly and extremely funny character to, Kelly from Dragons Justice....doesnt do the character justice at all. Charloitte is written as a shy, somewhat lacking confidence, with a "sleepy" voice, but Threet's versions is Jaden from Dragons Justice, so this completely changes the character.

Overall the performance is good but subpar compared to the originals, but what can you do with mob rule patrion polls.

Story is good, and fun, maybe not as fun with the new VA but still fun. But with the Bait and Switch, this is a 2.5 Star Book if you have listened to the originals. probably a 3.5 to 4 stars if you havent.
