They made this so worth it. Good story. Loved the ending. Wish there was more steamy scenes.

Love the story, not female narrator....

I started with the 2nd book, Nate, and loved it! Now listening to this book. I put it off because I don’t like the female narrator. Her voice is so grating, sometimes nasally, finishes words on an uptake and too breathy. I avoid books by her but I really wanted to hear this story.

I can’t wait to listen to the 3rd book, but I may relisten to Nate. He’s so damn funny and I remember laughing out loud when I heard it! 🤣🤣 Drawing attention from my coworkers and trying to explain the joke! 😂😂

Action Packed and full of heat and heart!

This was my first time reading author Celia Aaron and I’m so glad I finally decided to give her books a try.
This was an action-packed, fast-paced, spicy, emotion filled story.
Charleigh owns a flower shop where she spends all her time enjoying the temporary beauty that creating arrangements brings. She stays to herself and surrounded in the memories of her baby sister Jessie.
Conrad is a bad man. He’s evil, claiming souls one after the next.
But there’s something about the purity of Charleigh that he can’t resist.
Con is a stalker. He sits outside Charleigh’s flower shop every day watching her. He’s never met her but she knows he sits out there. She doesn’t care though. There is something about the dark and disturbing man sitting in his car watching her that makes her feel protected.
So when a group of men in the mafia start shooting up her flower shop, Charleigh thanks her lucky stars her protector is close by.
Now on the run, Charleigh and Con learn they can trust one another and begin to open up. They share their deepest darkest stories and find comfort in each other’s arms.
But this fleeting feeling won’t last long. There are bad men after Charleigh and Conrad has orders of his own.
This story was so good. It’s a quick and easy read but Celia Aaron brings it all. There’s a slow-burn, intense connection between Conrad and Charleigh and when they come together it’s steamy hotness that will make you sweat.
There is also a heartbreaking backstory to Charleigh that brings so many feels.
These two were quite the pair and bring the heat!
Can’t wait to read more from this author!!

This wasn't all "thumpy bumpy". There is a story to listen to and it is an enjoyable story.

Healed Protector

The dark protector became healed by the thorn rose. His girl may look innocent but she took care of herself and loved the man that previously thought his soul was lost to darkness.

Sweet!

Definitely a story here and not all about hot steamy sex. I mean don't get me wrong, I do like the hot steamy sex, but I also love more of a story line with character build up and growth too! Also, great narration!
