Good Book But Violent

What an interesting story of power, privilege and deception. Is everyone who and what they appear to be or are they hiding behind a mask? Counsellor is a well written, dark story, set in modern day in the south. Families from the privilege set play a game every 10 years. This year the Vinemonts are to play. There is debauchery, twists and turns and Counsellor certainly sets the stage for the rest of the series.

My only complaint is the short length of the book I felt the author was really out make her money by the cliff hanger ending and the trilogy. If you like this type of book there are better value choices out there. Try Red Phoenix Brie Learns the Art of Submission: Submissive Training Center (Volume 1) also a trilogy each book has and hours hours of listening pleasure or Sawyer Bennett Uncivilized.

I will continue with the series because I am hooked.

Robyn Verne and Stephen Dexter were outstanding with the delivery of the story.

Dark but good

I'm down with dark romances and if your into them then you should listen to this one. The story is good, it's not just sex. I wouldn't be into this in real life, but I sure do like hearing about it lol. The narration was OK. Stephen did a better job, but I wasn't crazy about these two. Perhaps by book two I will change my mind.

I have to say this book really sounds like the southern version of the Indebted series by Pepper Winters. It's a little different, but it does make we wonder if she got her inspiration from Pepper. If you like these types of dark romance books I would highly recommend Pepper Winters.

Something a little hot and southern

I love this story line and oh rhe narration is wonderful. I am a new fan and can't wait for more.

Another ride by Celia Aaron...just like the Church series

I was hooked on the Church series which is very dark and not for the mainstream. This was another series I enjoyed and going into book 2...the female narrator tried too hard with the southern accent when she does the Sinclair’s voice...if you love the Church series , you will love this one too!

Dark, violent, bloody, gripping ... unforgivable. You must know right away that there is a lot of violence in this book... yes, for Stella! It's bad!

Very similar to the hunger games. Let the games begin! May the odds be in Stella's favor.

If you can get passed the violence, then this book is for you. It's extremely gripping... you won't want to put it down. It plays with your emotions like a roller-coaster that doesn't want to end. The ride just keeps on going... fast... twists and turns... you gotta hold your breath. The suspense will just kill ya... till the end... which btw is a cliffhanger.

The story is so eloquently written that you will imagine yourself there. Especially, the hot hot scenes between Sin and Stella... their chemistry is so extreme... you'll love it. :P

The narration is beyond perfection. Robyn and Stephen bring the book to life with all the emotions and dramatic scenes.

This book is highly recommended. If you can get passed the Hunger Games, then this is a breeze. Don't miss out. Hope you got time for a 6 hour ride. Sit back and Enjoy!

What a start

What a start to a series which I had previously read but listening to it brought a whole new level of depth and dimension. Robyn did a great job narrating her side making the heroine submissive but yet feeling the strength start to come through. Stephen did amazing with the perfect Deep South accent and a level of darkness and emotion brought forth through a very broken character.

Aquisition

Interesting plot as well as characters. The South is on the rise again in the form of one big orgy.

This was a really enjoyable book. It is well narrated and even better written. The story is just differnt. One complaint is there is a CLIFFHANGER 😲😲😲.....but wait I dint have to wait two years for book two!!!! LOVED EVERY MINUTE worth Five Credits

I Cannot Wait for the Next Book

This audiobook is so sultry. The characters are hot and sexy and there is a mysterious secret that the family has yet to reveal. The narrators are excellent. I am glad I chose the audio version. I am looking forward to listening to the remaining two books.
